  10. This is the answer to the question, the best quality original at a cheap price, would be big money if rare.
  11. Outta Sight "The R&B Singles Collection" vol.1 & 2 On Amazon, good value for money. "The Roots of Northern Soul", 2cd, One Way Music, excellant value for money.Ebay or Amazon.
  12. Where are these cheap records, I don't see many bargains, must have missed yours, very rarely do my bids win, usually selling well over the top.
  13. Don't want to hear a dj talking, just want to hear the music.Wouldn't bother me if they didn't talk at all.
  14. The 2 worst ever: The Devonnes - I'm gonna pick up my toys The Sweet Things - I'm in a world of trouble Oh nearly forgot "condition red"
  15. 1 page advert for mod allnighter in blues and soul magazine in 1980, wasn't it Prince Buster- Al Capone, that caused all the fuss. One of the music mags printed a list of Russ discoveries,i'll try and find it.
  16. In my experiance, coloured vinyl wear out after about 10 plays, I had the Kent lp "For Dancers Only" on red vinyl and completely wore it out, What's the point of that? frame it and put it on the wall????
  17. This is more like it,fantastic soul classic. "Backfield in motion" always reminds me of "Return to sender" Elvis. Much rather hear "Harlem Shuffle" Bob & Earl.(good example of sub standard rarity)LOL. We're all different,be boring if we weren't.
  18. Are you answering you're own question? A catchy tune with repitative vocals,to me is a pop record. I can understand the youth club angle and feel good factor. It isn't crap, but can think of so many better tracks to post about. What's next the Jo Boxers or the Masionettes?
  19. Can't believe this thread has gone on so long, over a crap, over-produced piece of pop music.
  20. Here you go,seen this on here before
  21. Just seen this on Modculture site, some rare early footage of Leeds soul scene
  22. It comes down to "work hard-play hard" cramming as much as you can before work on monday morning.
  23. Personaly love both,i would've been on it
  24. Try playing Stemmons Express instead.
  25. Maybe not loads, 1 found in Plymouth.I'm from Torquay, just up the road, will certainly be checking car boots around here. What i was trying to say, loads of records get discarded, not everyone knows what they are looking at.Backed up by Post 205 as evidence, You and many others know this record, still a drop in the ocean in terms of population of record buyers, past and present.
