Just a few words about Friday night....One of the 'perks' of being a co-promoter of FTMNTC is you get to hear REALLY diverse music, not only from the residents BUT from the guest DJ's also. Friday it hit its peak imo ..obviously the sublime selections from Butch rocked the very foundations and rafters.....a promoters dream....clock off for a couple hrs and join the enthusiasts in enjoying some of the finest tunes this building has hosted !!!! Well done mate There was a spillover from the 'butch effect' (is this a new psychologists term ) but the residents pulled out some corkers...well done chaps...... Music first ? Yes indeed front and centre !!! Its heartening for me to see my fellow promoters enjoying the fruits of their labours..which included an atmosphere to die for !! This goes for enthusiasts also that packed into the room some that travelled from the other side of the country (Yes Mick Donnelley thats you !) and whom many have been when we haven't been quite so busy but enjoy the ethos The whole building was utilised and the bar manager estimated a whopping near 150 were in... .... I say with confidence....this REALLY was one of those 'you had to be there nights' WELL DONE EVERYONE...thanks to you lot I had an absolute spiffing night out..do hope you all did I went to sleep with a grin on me face that night...did you ?

We've had a polite request from the Cricket Club. Can we restrict the use of Talcum Powder. They understand that some people do like to put talc down..HOWEVER it gets ingrained in the floor and the cleaners have difficulty in removing the talc. This club is very popular and is indeed booked out 2 or 3 times each weekend plus in the week and its unfair to expect the next group to put up with a talc laden room The club appreciate your co operation in this matter and look forward to welcoming friends from far and wide this Friday, for an absolute cracker of a night !!!

Just to confirm :- They are having tea and coffee self serve on as many regulars are aware plus also a selection of sandwiches at the Cricket Club for Friday night

Quite a few wristbands have been sold already and indeed STILL reporting healthy sales !! HOWEVER the Cricket Club have informed me.....there is MORE capacity available due to the large bar and accompanied lounge room area at the club plus the covered outside alfresco section THEREFORE travel with confidence...you can STILL pay on the door

Had one or two asking....and its a valid point YES the bar accepts BOTH cash and card payments for your convenience This is important because some venues I've heard of either accept cash only or card only....and you only know when you get there !!!! Congleton Cricket Club accept both !!!! For your convenience

Without listing names...there is ALWAYS a great group of people turning out for these gatherings. Its great to listen and enjoy a 'wide range' of tunes....some will be 'first time out ...' at this fabulous little event *****It's not all about what is seen ...it's all about what is heard***** Give us a try ...am sure you'll hear some that will 'tickle your fancy

Hi all...do hope we are looking forward to next Friday 18th..it promises to be a 'most splendid' night out and I for one cant wait .Its always good to reach 'HOT' status on here indicating demand is growing Therefore due to potential heavy demand........I have updated this event page with local extra car parking provision plus possible overnight accommodation for those who so desire!!! Anyway on a more sombre note I have to report one of the squad is injured. The success of every team revolves around its squad..and here at FTMNTC we are extremely fortunate to have a squad that is flexible and all sharing the same 'music first' ethos..... Geese has had a very nasty head on car accident on Tuesday night whilst on his bike and he is currently in Royal Stoke hospital. Geese is an avid cyclist and we can can be reassured that he had all the correct 'gear' on and the very best of PPE ......however we all know it aint a 'fair fight' when a car is involved !! He's got a bleed on his right lung with a drain in , 8 broken ribs and right collar bone broken !!! So far !! The Royal Stoke is an exemplar hospital and he is in very good hands there So I aim to get him a nice 'get well soon' card from us ALL at FTMNTC and we can sign it on Friday and give him our best wishes for a speedy recovery. Hopefully it'll be a bit of a morale booster...and with Xmas fast approaching its not a good time to have been 'in the wars' Get well soon Geese Sveikatus

Another feast of tunes expected for this November gathering. You may notice our guest DJ's are not the same DJ's who do the 'circuit' week in week out. Whilst those do a sterling job...the DJ's we choose tend to be low profile/high quality selectors. Many don't post on here with their exploits here and there ...preferring a more selective approach HOWEVER don't let this confuse you...these DJ's are chosen for a reason !!!! No not neccessarily to put 'bums on seats' BUT to enhance the musical offering...and they do that with aplomb !!!

It never ceases to amaze me how this event continues to deliver year in year out For many this has become an institution....a chance to rekindle old friendships and make new ones..... to the 'backdrop' of some of the best sounds laid down on vinyl Lets thank 'TEAMCO72' and the FTMNTC team for all their selfless hard work behind the scenes, we were truly blessed...your efforts paid off big style....massive thanks 'guys and gals' !! Also a big shout out to the Cricket Club ..who did a sterling job ..hosting us....CO72 is an unknown entity to many...but they made us ALL feel very welcome.....I think we can say CO72 has a 'spiritual home' I was humbled and indeed proud of everyone there....I can honestly say I 'walked amongst giants' over the weekend .. Congratulations and thanks to everyone...you did it AGAIN !! x So ....on behalf of us ALL involved with CO72, we sincerely thank you all ..... CO72 CHARITY REUNION.......Now in its 14th year Unashamedly revisiting the sounds from the Allnighters and clubs of our teens...specialising in the music of the Torch, Cats, Twisted Wheel, Junction, Mecca, VaVa and Early Wigan from that 'Golden' era of late 60's early 70's..... an era that was to define and cement forever ,,,what we know as Northern Soul ....a veritable feast of some of the best sounds ever laid down on vinyl..... A great day/night out...with 'classic oldies'.....and fantastic music as well !!!! Really enjoyed it....Great to have 2 rooms ..opened up another option for everyone. Hopefully many more to come here. The venue staff really helpful Music really good...helped create a great vibe...that lasted right to the end...and made it over run by 15 mins ...whooops !!
