For the next Motte Allnighter we have once again secured a top notch dj line up !!!! Start: 22:00 @ Motte Eulenstr. 43 Hamburg Dj's: Marc Forrest + The Jan + Viphitman !!!!! So, if you are serious about Northern Soul, this is the place to be!!! Get down, do ya backdrops, spins & slide away on a fantastic wooden dance floor !!! The music policy is to play the very best of mainly 60's Soul with quite a few 70's & Modern/Crossover/RnB tunes thrown in for good measure on Original Vinyl Only !!! All Djs are encouraged to play obscure and underplayed tracks as well as classics within their sets. That means, that you are able to hear some fantastic music which you may not get to hear on any other format or even very rarely at any other place!! You just have to be there on that fantastic wooden dance floor to feed ya soul !!! Keep on soulin & c ya on the dance floor !!!!

Biggest Nighter Tunes Of The Last Ten Years
viphitman replied to Reg Scott's topic in All About the SOUL
some great tracks so far I would also include Charlene & The Soul Serenaders Can You Win From my experience his track is even very appreciated by a more oldies orientated crowd. I am sure this would go down well at events like Stoke -

The next one is shapping up nicely with another top dj line up... Marc Forrest + The Jan and myself playing some old mucker soul -
I've just watched it and altough there is a little cheese on top I was expecting a P.O.G.'s alike avalanche of piss taking and a mind numbing baggies & circle skirt bonanza....but it wasn't. Ok there are bits & bobs which are a little naff but that's media for ya....''the presenter saying ...ya have got your costumes on...'' does show the ''funny'' side of the scene which is not really my cup of tea but hey.... Overall it was trying to give a little background information about Northern Soul and push the film which somehow has big distribution problems to get the frigging thing in the cinemas !! The last bit where a youngish crowd dressed rather mixed in casual, mod and some baggies... smiling, dancing to a track outside the top 500 and having a laugh, did present a rather toooo rosy picture of northern soul... if ya mix a few more old misable farts asking for the top 500, some pc only warriers, an armada of over over 50`s patched up in circle skirts & baggies and the odd chin stroker ya get the right picture. What would have been fab, if the guy with the red hat on who was dancing and jumping up and down behind the presenters and young Dave at the end, would have come into the frame smiling like mad and saying the drugs were frigging great... Imagine being an old school skinhead and having to endure some proper false media crab for over 40 years.... there is something to moan about if you are into it This feature is by no means great but imho not as bad as I have envisaged it after reading some comments on here..... Anyway lets go back to a proper ovo debate

They will crop up from time to time as they always have done !!! Some collectors will sell up or just sell some big tunes in the need for a few extra bob for a stair lift. The odd collector may speculate for another influx of punters within the next couple of years but if this doesn't happen prices will drop slowly.

just for a bit of fun.... can you please put all off topic posts in one topic called ''Computer Says No'' ??? I think that would make a jolly good read and may lighten up some people !! You never know, it may be of great use for some social study on internet forum activities btw thanks for ya great work !! !

Try your local funk, hip hop, soul, rnb record shop that sells a lot of new vinyl !! I have bought one in Berlin two weeks ago !!! They are probably not aware that it sold out & gone up in value I think it will remain at around 25 pounds or even go up in value !!!
