Thank you Sunnysoul for that update on my post and yes it has been a long time assumption they were one and the same and i know i have not been alone in thinking that was so, i have learned something today and would like to apologise for my mistake as would not want to offend anyone, and yes i hope he is still alive today. So that said i still would like to say condolences to Fred Parris/friends/family (Of the Satins) And apologise once again for my mistake to both parties. Rick

Just want to say a 'Big Thank You' to ALL the responders to My Question which i know will be of interest to so many people over over the years and Pondered on the possibilities of 'Were Dave and Freddie one and the same' and YES now we know ๐Ÿ™‚ Great Photographs of Freddie, John and Dave and interesting that Freddie's single on the Local Spotlight on the KQEO Local Spotlight was the "B" side 'The'll never know why' over the 'A' side The info on The Chekkers was new to me so over all a great response, and as usual you Guys Came up with the answers, just Superb! Thank You! ๐Ÿ‘ Rick
  6. Was it ever established if these are one and the same Artists? (if this has been covered and confirmed i apologise in advance) Look Records - 5010 - Artist Freddie Chavez (1968) A - Baby i'm sorry (Freddie Chavez) B - They'll never know why (Freddie Chavez) Look Records - 5011 Artist Dave Newman (1968) A - Can't take no for an answer (Dave Nunez) B - Make up your mind (Freddie Chavez) Both records John Wagner productions Scovel/Tarheel BMRecord label out of Nashville Tenn. Considering 42 releases on label any other turn up sounding like these two ? and as he has performed at NS Events due to his NS status did anyone actually ask him if rumours were true ?

  16. Update on Mary ๐Ÿ˜ƒ She sends her Love to all on here that remembers her and i have to say she was full of beans yesterday after a very lengthy call i made to her yesterday after i had missed a call from her the previous day. She had found a large box of 60s Mod period records (Small Faces, Who, Dusty Springfield etc) she had all but forgotten and said she enjoyed going through them and reminiscing about her early years prior getting into soul via Aretha Franklin and Otis Redding etc. Now during our conversation on The N S Scene she kept referring to someone called Scooby Doo and in the end i had to ask the question Who is this Scooby Doo you keep referring to (In a very nice way i have to say) and full of praise for him, turns out it was Kev Roberts. Now i have to say, i didn't know that he went by that nick name in all the years i have known him so i learned something yesterday.......... ๐Ÿ˜‰

  21. i understand and agree with all your comments but we do have to be careful that was my point, but would hate to have to go back to a wholesale lock down, by all means get out there and enjoy yourselves, we are one big family on here and with our friends on the scene just would hate to be reading on here of another friend lost to this terrible infection, take care everyone and stay safe
  22. Double jab fine, should stop you from becoming seriously ill but does not stop you from picking the infection up from someone carrying the infection and passing it on to those who are vulnerable ๐Ÿ˜ท
