  1. That is Correct, Mary Chapman carried on Promoting All - Dayers for years after that and in Latter Years other Promoters got in on the act and put All-dayers on as well.
  2. Sad News Indeed of the passing of Ronald, and condolences go out to all his Family and Friends where ever they may be . Thank Your for one one my very early spins by The Broadways that graced many a dance floor every where in the ever popular "Sweet And Heavenly Melody" can't be anyone that doesn't remember hearing that one out that's for sure. And not forgetting other slabs of Soul by them in "You Just Don't Know" "Going Going Gone" and "Are You Telling Me Goodbye" "Thank You Sir" for Your Part in giving us these Wonderful Songs to remember you by. RIP Ronald Coleman.
  3. Also to be remembered for his connection with The Battersea Dogs Home (Just watched the Tribute to him ) Repeat of The royal show from last year. Lovely Human Being With A Big Heart who will not be forgotten. RIP Paul O'Grady
  4. Can't put words together how you must be feeling Ted and all the people on here have covered it all so well for me, just so thankful no physicle harm was done to you but it is the mental and stressful harm too and i can relate to that having records stolen by two low life's who I thought were my friends who were coming to my house for tea, coffee, biscuits and listening to my records, the thing was i only missed them when i went to play the records during a set or in the house and found they were missing. On another occasion coming out of the Cleethorpes Pier All Nighter i was physically jumped on by a group of Burly Guys who tried to wrench my 500 Box from me but luckely the rest of the party from our coach were behind me and fought them as I was in no position to do anything but keep hold of that box, bearing in mind one other friend was carrying a large singles box for me and another my LP\12" singles Box, but luckily no harm was done to them , we latter found out these guys were from the Manchester area and known to carry shot guns in the boots of their cars which sends a chill down my spine, with more and more Record thefts going on these days leaving venues on you own is scary as a DJ, so yes Ted i can really feel your Pain, Hope these low Life's are caught as soon as possible and more to the point your Treasured Records come back to you Intact. Take Care My Friend, everyone on here has you in their Thoughts every Minute, every Hour, every Day.
  5. Can't believe i'm reading this, such a shocker, Played many a soul nite with John way back in the day bought and swapped a few records with him as well, and a few laughs along the way, was a real nice Guy and well loved by everyone who came into contact with him, he certainly knew his stuff and had very good taste, i had not seen him in a while but have fond memories of him, very Sad news indeed, condolences to all his family and friends and those who were privileged to know him. RIP John.
  6. I bought my copy years before the Tayster Boots apeared Probably Mid to late 70's and the writing on mine although not exactly the same you can tell was written by the same person, only differences mine has the Date 12/10/65 written in ink as well in the ID although it was released in 1967 In the run out of the side with written info on the label there's a scratched out number 100133-x or the x could be1 with a scratch through it and a taster number TS 6016 (1258) the other side with no hand writing has TS 6016 (1257) Mama being the official A side too is a bit of a give away
