  1. Wait While The Talcum Powder Company's Get Wind Of It. "Not Just For Your Lovely Botty!" But but Spread on the Dance Floor and Glide with The In Crowd, And For a Ltd Time Only Comes it With A FREE Beer Towel, Not just to Hang Off Your Baggies but Keep Your Brogues Nice and Shiny. 2. Yes Kathryn and with that sort of money incentive too that's on offer we know there is bound to be a big take up from willing participants and unfortunately other advertisers will see a Big Name Like Lucozade using the popularity within the Media that has now latched on to the Northern Soul Dancing Popularity (Once Again) wanting to have their four Pennies worth Too, So Northern Soul Once Again the Victim of its own success.
  3. just wondered how many of you managed to snag one of these lat year on 7"
  4. Wow! I'm Gob smacked, Just seen a copy up on Discogs seller in Spain Asking £3.907.47 for a copy,(fabulous play mates) didn't know it was selling for that price, knew it was rare but....... The Bog Mindles
  5. other sides very nice too, the side i play out
  6. Back in the early days of the scene we learned to dance just like when we were babies we learned to crawl before we walked and went on to learn how to ride bikes (No Puns Please) Certainly Didn't Need A Licence. We did our on thing as to what we were capable of and observed others and pick up tips. I was never an acrobatic style dancer but there was (and still is) lots of very good capable dancers out there doing there thing. Why do people think having Northern Soul Dance Lessons going to do it for them, just watch and observe dancers at venues and then develop a style you feel comfortable with and possibly unique to you, much better i think. Any way got to go now....... My Brain Hurts
  7. This one is way up there Wonderful

  10. and thanks for posting the link up Soul16 saved us all looking for it. Well what can i say, what a lovely Human Being who like a lot of us oldies on here wanted to hear more of the rare side of Soul through the introduction of Early Motown in his case, and of course in my case Stax & Atlantic Records etc. as well, through going out there and checking out the Casino and Blackpool Mecca, kudos to him. What came through too was how much Sir Lindsay felt about the treatment of Black Americans as well as their Music which we as soul fans can relate to as well, Shame he couldn't be talked into revealing his favourite or more memorable Northern tracks he obviously would have heard at the Mecca And Casino as he seemed to know what he was talking about, another time maybe? An interesting insight to a man that i have to say i knew nothing about other than him doing his daily job keeping the pease in the House.
  11. Thanks for that in-site on Sir Lindsay Hoyle, would love to have heard that myself, what was it on as a matter of interest please Julian, i enjoy watching this guy as can be very comical but does not stand for any nonsense keeping the House Members in their place
  12. Welcome Along ChrissieB, Hope you enjoy The Ride, You will find the Peeps on here very welcoming and very Helpful and Knowledgeable if you ever need to know anything Soul wise or other wise. The members and those who Police the Site will only too pleased to help you
  13. Wow , rubbed shoulders with the Great Andre Williams, nice. I have to say they are one of the greatest outfits and bunch of musicians around today and vocaly they are UP THERE, as for the single there hasn't been a day gone by since i got mine i haven't played it at some point at home, every home should have one and is a future Floor Packer. Hope your copy arrives Safe And Well
  14. Let's Hope So H F YEP very true HF, i did have a look on Discogs this morning and up to now they have not had any up for sale on their site but there are still copies for sale across Europe of this very Ltd 45 so if you Peeps out there love it as much as i do then don't sleep on it as they say....then end up paying inflated prices for it
  15. Ah, so you think KellerBar may well be a re-Issue, i was unsure thinking it may well be a Brand New Release in a Retro Style as i can find no more info of the track being around other than in the way afore mentioned in my post, but an interesting take all the same and pleased you like it, we will see eh? Thanks Happy Feet
  16. Ray Collins Track Instrumentally puts me in mind of things like Nestor Alevarez Just Add Vibes
  17. I came across a track called KellerBar back in 2020 on an LP Called "For the one with the blues" Classed as a Jazz Album. The LP was released again in 2021 in a 10" format (both on Brisk Records (Germany) Then this year (13th December) turns up on a Very Ltd French 7" Single (Juke Box Music Factory Record Label) and Flies out on first day of issue. On the back of the picture sleeve it says Audio restoration and remastering by Stephone Teynie This is a Wonderful Dancer so i wanted to share with you all and maybe Gleam Some info of it's Origin or is this just the way they recorded it as a vocal song, any views on my Question and What you think of the track ,well, it would be welcome.
  18. Of course we are talking about The Trip here played originally on the Gold MET label back in '75 which has the same record number as the P.S. Release 2768-2 and yes it was a big spin there as you say Tim, i also was playing it the same time as Ian at the Cleethorpes Pier & Winter Gardens which is why i am so interested in the First Label Release, Thanks for your reply.
  19. Well, until i clocked this on Anglo American Auction List This Morning I had never heard of this release or seen it before. Original 1st issue (P.S. Record Label P.S. 2768 -2) and the copy up there was Producer Paul Serrano's own copy, how rare is this then, anyone seen this before or own one? must be rare of course, the Scene is Full Of Surprises.
  20. Obviously the feed back will come mainly from our Older Soul Fans or maybe Pop - Rock - Jazz - Blues & R'n'B fans who found SOUL along the way and were Converted. Better Still did you discover some tasty Records just by what Radio Stations YOU were able to Pick Up and Tune In To. Would love to hear about your Finds. Transmitters back then were not like we have today by a long chalk, but because the stations were located around the Country you were able to Tune in to Something. The Likes of Radio Luxembourg and The American Forces Network (AFN) Were the GO TO choice for me initially Rather Than the BBC Network Radio Stations which by and large did not cater for my needs. Then Along Came the Pirate Radio Stations which was a Real Game Changer, at last something we could relate to. The Likes of Radio Caroline (North & South) Radio City, Radio North Sea International etc. etc.

  22. Thanks Hippo Remember seeing some where that if you put small plastic balls to float in with your water it helps to prevent it freezing, now i've never tried this, so don't know if it works, would be interested if anyone else heard this and tried it and what the out come was?
  23. True And i apologies for my misdemeanour and it will not happen again Your Honour
  24. Love my cereals for tea as i more often than not have main meal during the day so easy peasy once made my choice, and a sucker for wakening up in the early hours and going downstairs to the freezer for a Cadbury's 99 ice cream cone and taking it up to bed, Yummy
  25. A Shock to Hear of this Very Sad News * Will Be Missed In Many Many Ways * From the Scene * On Here * By His Family And Friends *Condolences My friend* RIP
