  1. I thought the same thing and saw that there were 2 CDs 1 And 2 And wondered which one of them would i need to purchase to obtain the Best version. Cheers, Rick
  2. Thanks Eddie, I checked it out on Discogs and found quite a few up there but have to ask what is the best mix of this?, so many mixes that it does your head in some times, not like the old days when a record got released with an A and B side, Job Done
  3. I bought a 7" White label of "Share My Love" R. Kelly at a Gig back in 2017, Don't know who was be hind them but still on sale on "Discogs" and Jaheim I bought off Fish back in 2001 on US Import 12" and as John Benson Quoted loads of them up there. Rick
  4. Yea, Same here, was on the one of the Soul Togetherness LP/CD releases and as 'The Gouch' above Commented there have been Many Great tunes in the Download only Camp, Whilst the Big interest at the moment is mainly 'Un-Released Alt Takes on old tunes or just tracks that remain unreleased and Retro new releases most of which i could take or leave. The Download Only tracks remain just that but for the odd few that make it onto the yearly type compilations, but not always the better tracks of what there is out there, I thank you for your replies Guys, very much appreciated, Rick
  5. Please Expand Russ, Thanks, Rick
  6. Please Read Main Topic again as i have made it a bit planer how it was meant to read, Thanks, sorry if i confused some of you
  7. Would it or would it not be a good idea if someone in the music business put out a Series on CD or Vinyl Albums, or maybe 7" would be nice too of the Best of the Download Only tracks Aimed at the Modern soul Scene over the years, (A Bonafide Record Label/ Company) not the usual RnB type thing but the BIG and Most Popular Tracks that have not up to now made it to vinyl and still download only, and if you like the idea, What would be YOUR Favourite tracks to be included. "Food For Thought". As there has been some great tracks that instils a Mad Dash for the Dance Floor. Rick.
  8. I know Adela, But You Did Ask The Question, What was the Other Low End Record Title? and in Answer to Your Question, I Supplied it! It was in your post! Thanks
  9. Low End-Today/Wooden Nickels
  10. The strange world of Northern Soul, Didn't want 'em, wouldn't play 'em when they were new releases now want 'em years later because they ARE getting played AGAIN as established oldies, and paying through the nose for them, Good job some of us weren't Snobs back then, you couldn't write this stuff, Or Could You ?
  11. This is one of the reasons why i never wind a record back to cue it up, Styrene is notorious for Cue Burn but won't take the risk after one or two disasters, no matter how good the stylus or cartridge fitted, some vinyl just can'y take it, styrene is definitely a No No. Rick.
  12. Great stuff, pleased you're sorted....Rick
  13. Should be able to replay the show on MY5 Hope this Helps....Rick
  14. See no evil * Hear no Evil * Speak no Evil * Well that's that Sorted Then, Nurse, Nurse, Fetch me a Bed Pan Please........
  15. I have Often wondered over the years how different The Wigan Casino (and the N.S.Scene) would have been like without the Existence of Simon Sousan who had a a great influence over what was being played at Wigan, Mainly those Dreadful tailor made instrumentals which sounded like an old 50's/60's Fairground organ, and some of the vocal / instrumental/ things released on 'Black Magic' which i assume had S.S. connections (correct me if i am wrong ?) I am sure Simon discovered many fine Northern Soul Titles along the way but it makes you wonder how different History over the years would have been had he been involved in other ventures away from The Casino (and the Soul Scene) and maybe would have been a better place for it.
  16. Drugs - Pop Music - The Media - Wearing Wellies to go to the loo (and needing a friend to go with you in case you got rolled)
  17. Received my copy of 'Your words' / 'I made a deal with myself' to day and the label has a Strange Round indentation on both sides exactly opposite each other on the label, one being more prominent on 'Your Words" side, anyone else had one come through like this , just curious, looks like something that has occurred at the pressing plant, very strange but i suppose these type of thing must happen quite often, no damage on record sleeve or poly sleeve and nothing on the cardboard mailer to suggest been trapped in anything. Rick.
  18. Mary didn't Show as was to poorly to attend, surprised no one been on and commented on the night, oh by the way has everyones ears stoped bleeding yet, The sound system was fab when we got in there early doors really set up well and just right but as soon the Knob Twiddlers got into it well my ears were ringing and and eventually it was just unbearable to be in the main room, loudness and distortion does not make better to the degree some records were unrecognisable to these ears, shame....................
  19. Same as all the above, fannied about trying to work out what the Face Book thing was all about as i don't have anything to do with it (although i didn't see my "Alert" until yesterday) so by that time i suppose it was too late anyway so this is the first release i have missed on this FAB label not a bad single amongst them.Once again a lot of real soul fans have missed out and those that just buy to sell and make a few bob, well, you work out the rest......
  20. well here is the 3rd one, may as well complete the set eh? It should all become clear
  21. He looked a little bit like 'Stone Cold Steve Austin' at first glance on this one, now that WOULD have been interesting me thinks
  22. This is one of the others if you haven't clocked them
  23. This video best of the lot i think and joking aside it does make you wonder what the yanks thought of the northern lads when they first made visits over the pond, not your Big Name Record dealers back then but just your'e average joe soap hoping to get lucky, would suspect many of them needed a translater in tow
  24. I cringed watching this, Anyone know who they might be? only joking There are some others too,(at least 2 ) wonderful piss take you have to laugh, many thanks to =Sean Hempsey for these you could get your own show
  25. he doesn't mention any thing about it being ones with the pressing faults in the blurb and ALL the tracks have sound bites up
