  1. Sorted, thanks!
  2. Looking for a VG+ or better copy of this record. Please PM me. Thanks! Scott
  3. I was a little too late on Callum's. Wouldn't think it would be too hard to pick up, but I haven't had much luck.
  4. Desperately looking for a decent copy of this one! Please PM! Thanks! Scott
  5. Awesome Carl! No surprise that you had this what appears to be a very rare record at one time. Do you have a soundclip? Is it funk? Soul? Good?
  6. Never heard of that one. What's the story?
  7. Clarence Coulter is the lead singer on this track. Clarence Coulter also has a similar sounding record called "Ride On" on "Hit Track" that you might like. And there is yet another similar sounding track by the Symphonic Four called "Who Do You Think You're Fooling" on Zudan which credits Coulter as the writer even though I think Coulter has said that he knows nothing about the Symphonic Four record. Coulter also has an interesting four part song called Detroit City Part 1 - Part 4 that came out on two 45s on the Soul Expressions label.

  9. Here's a link to the page that has it listed for 2200 EUR: https://www.cdandlp.com/item/1/0-220206-0-1...-boogie-45.html Sounds like this seller is maybe a little too enthusiastic!
  10. Price Check on: Love Bone Band - Sexy Ladies/Let's Dance on Shot O' Gold Records. Found a copy of this yesterday and someone in France has this listed on cdandlp.com for 2200 Euros. Is this price for real? Scott
  11. Looking for this one.....$$$ or trades! Thanks! Scott
  12. Thanks for the + feedback! Yeah, that Luther Ingram record had been in my boxes for years, but I had never played it out because it was so dirty. I took some scrubbing bubbles cleaner to it and it worked wonders! I just started posting links on soul source in the past couple months. I have an archive of all of my radio shows at www.midwest45s.org, though. Just go to the "Radio" section, and there are links and setlists. Scott
  13. Hi Everybody! For this months show, I tried to do more of an uptempo danceable set with a bit more early 60s R&B than usual. 14. If the original has 101 tm-1931 in the runout and the boot doesn't, then that will be an easy way to distinguish the original. Thanks for the help!
  15. I hate to sound ignorant, but how does a moulded over label look different from a non-moulded over label. Scott
  16. Hi everybody, How do you tell a real copy vs. a bootlegg for The Magnetics - When I'm With My Baby - Sable. Are there deadwax inscription differnces between the two. I've read people talk about a bevelled edge on the boot, but I don't know what that means. Scott

  19. Hi everybody, I did a special show this week in celebration of last Tuesday's election! It was hard not to be inspired by the whole thing, and I worked a lot the past few days to try and plan out all my tracks and write down some meaningful stories and background. Not normally my style to be so prepared, but it's good to feel inspired.! The idea behind this show was to try and put last today's events in perspective by listening to the music that looked forward to last Tuesday in all it's best measures. Grant Park on Tuesday felt like the cadence to a sweet Chicago soul song, and I am hoping today's show can help put us back in that moment for just a little bit longer and help us better appreciate what happened. Enjoy! 20. OK, going once, going twice, SOLD for $1500 to the gentleman who's monetary unit is devaluing by the hour! Eek! These financial times are dark indeed.
  21. Shoot, you're right. I was thinking it was 10 my time! Let me ride out this next hour to give people one last chance. Scott
  22. OK, highest bid still at $1500 with one hour to ago. If anybody can beat $1500, there's an hour left to do so. Scott
