Accepting OFFERS for a guaranteed original copy of Mel Britt - "Shell Come Running Back"/"Love Invented Misery" FIP F-650 for sale. Record is in VG++ condition. It was unplayed when it was found, and I played it only once to make these sound clips, tracking it very lightly at 1 gram of tracking force with a Shure V15 so as not to wear the styrene. Record has a slight storage warp that does not effect play at all, even when tracked with as low of tracking force as I used to make the soundclips. Original pressing found here in the Chicago area. Deadwax reads: Shell Come Running Back has "ZTSC142593-1A" stamped in the deadwax. 180 degrees from that "T11" is inscribed in the deadwax. Love Invented Misery has "ZTSC142592-1A" stamped in the deadwax. 180 degress from that "T11" is inscribed in the deadwax. Here are links to full mp3s of both sides taken from the actual record: https://www.midwest45s.org/Ebay/MelBritt_ShellComeRunningBack_FIP_F-650.mp3 https://www.midwest45s.org/Ebay/MelBritt_LoveInventedMisery_FIP_F-650.mp3 Here are links to huge scans of both sides: (NOTE: The "T11" inscription does not show up in the scans while the "ZTSC" stamp does. One is a stamp and one is an inscription. The inscription just doesn't get picked up by the scanner. Have no fear, it is there.) https://www.midwest45...meRunning_J.jpg https://midwest45s.or...entedMisery.jpg This is one of my favorite records of all time. An excellent double sided record written by Gary's Robert Lee of Lost Weekend fame. Sure "Shell Come Running Back" is northern dynamite, but "Love Invented Misery" is pure rust belt beauty. FIP was run by Gordon Keith of Steeltown fame, who commuted to Chicago to run the short lived FIP label. He got amazing results with this record, but alas it never made any waves in America. OFFERS - PM me Also, I have a lot of other records up on ebay right now. Didn't want the ebay 9% tax on this one. A ton of rare Modern and Northern Soul.....Motherfox, Bobby Hutton, Billy P. Hughes, Buddy Miles, 159 records total. Please check them out here: https://shop.ebay.com...=&_trksid=p4340 Please check out my 100% feedback on ebay for confidence. Thanks! Scott

Arthur Rollins Jr. - Wherever You Go - Lavender Lady
Sharlow45 replied to Sharlow45's topic in Look At Your Box
Looking for feedback as to what people think of the sound of the record as well. Anybody listen to it? Anybody like it? Hate it? Apathetic? -
About 100 to 150 GBP, though it has sold as high 400 GBP.
-
Was wondering if anybody has ever seen this record? Scan and sound clip below. I think this is a great modern soul sound, but I can't find any information about it on the google. SOUND CLIP - Arthur Rollins Jr. - Wherever You Go
-
Yeah, for some reason Sweet Jo-Ann sells for 15 to 20 GBP. I'm interested enough to pay 40 GBP if you would like to sell your spare. Scott
-
Yes, they are both good, and the relative pricing of the two singles doesn't make much sense. They both seem very rare, at least here in Chicago, and both have a very similar sound. I'm looking for a copy of the other as well if you have any leads. Still haven't heard from anyone with a copy of Sweet Jo-Ann. Scott

Hello, Looking for a copy of El Anthony - Sweet Jo-Ann on Starvue. PM or email scottdharlow at yahoo dot com Thanks, Scott

Young Mods - Everblack & Flint Emeralds - Gatewood
Sharlow45 replied to Sharlow45's topic in Record Wants
I bid $525 and was pretty confident that that would take it. I was wrong and now.....desperately seeking an alternate path! I agree with you that the price seemed high for VG, and I also agree that the noise wasn't horrible. The price seems like it's going up on this record as time goes by. It's not offerred very often, and it's damn good. Much more together than your typical Midwest small label group harmony record. The more uptempo flip probably also attracts DJs to it. -
Young Mods - Everblack & Flint Emeralds - Gatewood
Sharlow45 replied to Sharlow45's topic in Record Wants
Yes, it would seem so. Can't find much written about it anywhere. The Young Mods 45 on the other hand would seem a little easier to come by for the right price! -
