Gene Toones - What More Do You Want - SIMCO Issue. please read below but going to run this for 5 days through until Sunday 30th April, Good News – an ultra-rare stock copy (issue) that would be worth well over £3000 Bad News - this one is cracked from edge to centre, I have been playing out DJ for over 5 years now and it plays, with a very quiet click in the quieter parts of the record. This is advertised elsewhere, so if interested then make me an offer and it could be yours, please can we not turn this into a debate and leave it as a sales item. When I bought the record, it had been repaired with sticky tape stuck on the rear, B-side holding the crack together. After buying it I then replaced this with more superior, stronger industrial tape (as per photo) and this has proven to have been ideal, allowing me to play the record for the last 5 years in the house and while out DJ’n and the crack has never moved. The record could be repaired more sufficiently by a professional completely bonding the record back together again, although I found the method I had used was sufficient and allowed me to play it. The record playing surface, apart from the crack is Excellent. The label has ring wear as per the photographs. Recent demos have sold recently from between £2500 - £3000
