Hi
Has anyone got a copy of the Rotations "I can't find her" on DeBrossard they may want to sell/trade?
The Rotations is back up on ebay.
# 4024818391. Seller dj-beans.
The guy must have a box of them. I got my copy from him well over a year ago and a friend has also bought a copy from him. He puts one up for sale every so often.

Steve if you look in the sales section someone was offering a Bobby Reed a couple of days back for £400 and the Tommy Tate is a Japanese CD only track that came out on a white label boot that you can pick up for a tenner of the likes of Johnny Manship.
John
Tommy Tate also came out in the last year on Grapevine.
Manships got copies for £10.

I'm just wondering if all copies of Quinn Harris "I'll Always Love You" have that annoying hiss all the way through.

Just played my copy, there's no hiss or noise.

And I bought it..............chooooooooon, not sure of current price tho'
Cheers Russ
BTW any one seen stock copies of this ???
Russ
I've got a stock copy which I bought after hearing it on one of your tapes (soul pushin) a few years back.
I was asking about the price as I'm thinking of selling a few 45's and didn't have a clue how much it's worth.
I paid £300 but that was about four years ago.
If there are about twelve copies in the Uk as the record collector states how many are demos and how many aare issues ?
Demo or stock copy would it make any difference to the value ?
The "B" side "Take It From Me" aint bad either.

"Pork Pie & Oven Chip Auction, mad prices, or just supply and demand?"
I posted this about a UK auction and prices fetched, but didn't say it was John Manship's !!!
Thanks Hippo that's what I was looking for.

Anyone know the going rate for a copy of Barbara Long - "We Call It Love" on Jet Set. Manships guide says £250 but I read an article about Shrine / Jet Set in an old Record Collector and it said there were only about a dozen copies in the UK.
-
A while back I think someone put up a list of records sold on Manships auctions and the price they went for. I've tried to find the post but can't. Am i getting confused in my old age ? Maybe it was a list of ebay auctions.

While on the subject of Billy Griffin, anyone got a copy of his Atlantic 7" from 1986 "Believe It Or Not" for sale. UK or US as long as it's the 7".

"Tomorrow" by the Webs on Popside is absolutely smashing!! Also came out on UK London, which can be bought relatively cheaply.
Also worth mentioning "I've Got Mine You Better Get Yours" by the Sapphires on Swan, available for about £20 or far less on Ebay!!
The final release on Windy C, "Change of Pace" by the 5 Stairsteps is also worth looking out for. Like all the Windy C 45s, it can be picked up for about £5, but sounds like it should be worth 50 times this amount!!
Gene
The other side of The Sapphires is a fabulous mid tempo "I Found Out To Late".
A tenner a side, you can't go wrong.

In the past we had James Fountain - Seven Day Lover.
More recently we've had the Hamilton Movement - She's Gone and Charles Mintz - Running Back.
Anyone recommend some other funky tunes worth buying ?
-
Drake and The En-solids - Fight For Love - Alteen.
The Firm of Hodges, James, Smith and Crawford - Let's Pick Up The Pieces - Mpingo.
Eddie McLoyd - Once You Fall In Love- Dakar.
Jon Lucien - Search For The Inner Self- Ampex.
Detroit Spinners - Can't Shake This Feelin' - Atlantic.
-
Yes they're the same guy. The Independants had an album called Chuck, Helen, Eric, Maurice released in 1973. On this album there's a version of "Lucky Fellow".
I think the version on the album is far better than the one released on single by Maurice. The single was released twice on Candlelite and Lakeside.

The last copy I saw was £150 but I thought this was a bit expensive. Anyone know the going rate for a copy ?
