    For our 38th Canarian holiday we are returning to the Luxurious Sands Beach Complex in Lanzarote in May and November 2022 We were there in 2007, 08, 09 & 10 and had a great time, and Sands Beach have invited us back. Forget these high rise hotels. Sands Beach is a fantastic complex with 6 pool areas surround by single story or 2 high apartments plus 70 beachfront apartments. We are there for a week in May starting on Saturday 7th May, and a fortnight in November starting on the 5th. In November you could join us for the first week (5th - 12th) or the second week (12th - 19th) or the full fortnight. We play soul music every afternoon and every night.     Soul in the Sun - Winter Holiday - November 5th -- 19th, 2022 We are delighted to announce that we are returning to Lanzarote for our twice yearly holidays The fantastic luxury Sands Beach Complex, in Costa Teguise, Lanzarote have welcomed us back www.soulinthesun.com Week ONE is Saturday November 5th – Saturday November 12th 2022 Week TWO is Saturday November 12th – Saturday November 19th 2022 Or you can join us for the full fortnight like so many are doing! Our holiday runs from Saturday – Saturday but I know many of us like a longer break. You can join us for one week (either 1st or 2nd week) or the full fortnight. If you want a 9 or a 10 day holiday it’s not a problem, but the extra days need to be before the 1st week, or after the 2nd week. i.e. 2nd – 12th or 12th – 22nd Sands Beach is certainly a luxury resort, with no apartments, more than 2 high, in fact most of them are single stories. We will have our music every afternoon and every night for the week, plus of course our famous Fancy Dress Day and our or Shite Shirt Nights. These will take place on both weeks so whichever week you plan on joining us, you won’t miss out. Also we are bringing back our “War of the Roses” when DJs from Lancashire & Yorkshire complete against each other to fill the dance floor!!!! We might even have a team of DJs from the rest of the UK!! Sands Beach has 6 areas, surrounding 6 swimming pools, including a full size 25M heated Olympic pool for those of you, who like me love to exercise in the morning!!!!! As well as the 6 areas there is also a fantastic man made beachfront, which overlooks the Mai Tai bar and area (where we will be playing our music in the afternoons) There are 2 restaurants, The Hacienda and Mai Tai pool bar, plus the Lido bar which is ideal for “ Lunch in the Sun” Breakfast is available every morning from 7.30 – 10.30, Lunch from noon - 5pm and Dinner from 6.30 – 9.30pm You will have free Wi Fi during your stay, plus use of the many services including Gym, a stretching room, a massage room, supermarket, bike hire, car hire, surfing hire, tennis court & laundry. I’m sure that you will agree Sands Beach is no ordinary complex, but a very special one. Prices are per apartment for one week, extra days will be charged on a pro rata basis. Dear Soul in the Sunner, We are pleased to announce that we have secured a number of apartments at the beautiful Sands Beach Complex in Costa Teguise, Lanzarote this coming May. Sands Beach is certainly a luxury resort, with no apartments, more than 2 high, in fact most of them are single stories. We will be there from Saturday May 7th – Saturday May 14th 2022 Our Soul in the Sun holiday runs from Saturday – Saturday but I know many of us like a longer break. If you would like a longer holiday, it is not a problem, just let us know your preferred dates. Flights are certainly cheaper Wednesday - Wednesday We will have our music every afternoon and every night for the week, but for May we are not planning on Fancy Dress or Shite shirt nights.     I am delighted to say that I am now presenting "A Taste of Soul" every Sunday night 8 - 10 on www.epic-radio.com playing lots of So Soulful 70's with plenty of Modern Soul and a touch of Northern Soul thrown in for good measure. On Wednesday nights 8 - 9pm we have "A Taste of Motown" where you can hear those Motown classics, some that you won't have heard for ages, plus a few that might be new to you.     Sorry I didn't reply earlier to this, as I don't often go onto Soul Source, far too many silly comments by anonymous people. I must have got out of the wriong side of bed! No seriously, it was very hurtful when I did my utmost to meet as many people as possible, to be called rude, and especially the comment "ego fuelled money count". I can only do my best, and if it's not good enough I'm sorry. As for the comments regarding Barry Sparkle, Barry's job is to stop people without bands from getting in. That's all. He is a very polite person and did his best to make people happy. He has a hard job turning around 100 people away every night.

    I really object to your comment " The absence of Eddy Edmondson kinda smacked of complacency and this was quite rude considering the time money and effort and sheer leap of faith we had made in getting there, a few hours on day one to say hello to you customers Eddy would not have gone amis" I was on the door 2 - 6 on Friday afternoon and 8 till 2 at Night (apart from when I was DJing, the same on Saturday) I suggest you find out more before opening your big mouth. You didn't even come down during the daytime sessions, or you might have seen the work going in to improve the sound Eddy

    Like you, when I heard of the remix I thought Oh No, but when I heard it boy did I change my mind. Am I right in saying it's a Neil Thompson remix? So many re mixes seem to start with 2 minutes of beat, the main content is very similar to the original, then they close with another 2 minutes of beat. But this is so far away from the original it is brilliant. Well done Neith Thompson, if it was you, and well done "Boot" for bringing it up.
