  1. wrong 45.. Oops !!
  2. Another mystery solved !! Thanks for sharing Chalky.. Great Stuff !! And the sort of stuff I really like receiving at Xmas
  3. I know instrumentals were the fashion at the time but, even so, how would you NOT play the vocal when it's 10000 times better !! I'm glad I did, I know that - the rest as they say, is history lol
  4. That is indeed correct Merve.. didn't we go to a local chippie for sustenance too ?? At that time Kyp wasthe ONLY LP collector I knew.. had things like the withdrawn Len Barry UK Brunswick LP, to which I still have his sales list with it on.. £20 !! Them were the days, eh..
  5. Nev Wherry came back from a trip to the US with 2 copies - one he kept and the other he sold to me on the proviso I would play the vocal as the instrumental was already in vogue, as Andy rightly states I used to hammer it at the Kings Lynn all-dayers held at the YMCA, and promoted by a truly wonderful but very strange guy.. Titch ?? I remember the brakes on his car were dodgy and he would stop by running into a wall !! I don't lie lol So far as I'm aware I was certainly at least one of the first, if not thee first, to spin the vocal..
  6. Without doubt !! Great tune too..
  7. And every item is listed at the same $995.95 ??? Bizarre !!
  8. Bloody 'Eck As Like !! That's a result - well, for my wife Sue at least.. I think it will be in sales very soon lol Thanks for your kind assistance @Bo Diddleyand @Winsford Soul
  9. A beautiful UK Green And White DJ with intact centre 'Tommy Tate 'A Lovers Reward' Any idea as to current value please ?? TIA
  10. Defo not an original.. the seller is well respected and knows his stuff and highly improbable he would make such gravitated testicle
  11. Actually.. thinking about it it must have been early 78 'cos I was still living in New Mexico in 77
  12. MY Lester Tipton was purchased in either late 77 or early 78 along with matching labels Al Williams.. Soul Bowl possibly ?? Them were the days lol
  13. Too right Tricky.. and East Anglia collections never got the credit they deserved !! For example.. when only 3 copies know at the time of the Magnetics on Bonny.. All three resided within a 50 mile radius of Huntingdon !!! You have the likes of Glen Bellamy who has proved a constant source of tunes he first turned up and that the DJ's he sold them too throughout the decades went on to establish them as mainstream.. John Anderson of course.. And many others who's collections over the years would be the envy of any collector world wide.. Unsung heroes the lot of 'em
  14. Brilliant Stuff Chalkmeister Despite the quality just witnessing and hearing her singing YBGTL after decades of it being a staple of the NS scene sent chills up & down my spine, and the hairs stood up on the back on the neck !! now THAT's what it's all about.. Thanks for sharing Chalky..
  15. That's even more gorgeous than the foreign pic sleeve 45 I used to own.. a beauty !! Keep 'em coming please peeps - this is a real eye opener.. for me at least
  16. I've been away working but pleased to see the comments made in my abscence. I obviously haven't been paying attention Thank you one and all, but please.. keep 'em coming !!

  18. I've always found most Canadian labels to be things of beauty, but the Sparton Demos are.. SPOT ON !! I'll get me coat..
  19. Aah.. Nice One Ste !! I've just found another demo to - also on Sparton.. Any other labels ??
  20. Thanks Swifty.. just can't remember ever seeing one myself any scans from members of ANY demos would be greatly appreciated
  21. All these years regularly looking at records for sale, but today the question arose in my mind are there any demos of Canadian 45's ?? Looking through Canadian sales just now and not seeing one amongst 250 different releases is what has prompted my query.. Anyone ??
  22. Gotta be at least £500 I'd say but wouldn't be surprised for a copy via JM's auction to fetch more I used to have a Bell Acetate of the album which was both beautiful in appearance and dynamite in it's content
