By no means a standalone solution, and more as part of a 'wider' working plan.. Herein lies an extremely critical point (IMO).. An imperative, forward-moving and natural, progression. One necessary for the short to mid-term success, future, and direction of our much revered Soul Music scene !! But one I couldn't see happening very easily across the country.. Sadly, I personally feel - and mainly down to 'ego's' and an unspoken 'I Am..' attitude (not daring to vocalise it !! It kept purely as a private thought..) - what should, and is in essence a relatively simplistic goal to achieve, would prove indefinitely hindered due to the attitudes & feelings of self-importance I bet would be found amongst several (the majority, perhaps ??) of the component individuals concerned. Obviously it goes without question that it would be absolutely necessary to gain full agreement, participation & input from ALL of the key individuals that would be involved in such collaborations. To me, a future where promotions (once individual & separate) 'work together', is just so obviously necessary.. A 'No Fail' requisite (and 'No Brainer'..) before any hope of a smooth transition to the successful completion & integration of the relevant clubs/promotions could even begin to be achieved.. But - very importantly - an integral ingredient for achieving correct focus on the future long-term longevity of our Soul Music scene !! Them's my sentiments, anyways.. Fingers

Was having a conversation recently with Andy Dyson, about the merits of this stunning double-sider. I've played YLICLD out a couple of times over the past 12 months - and it's already included in my box of potential spins for this Friday's Move On in Coventry & will quite likely get some play-time on the night. If it were me I'd stay WELL away !! Has anybody PROPERLY read his descriptions of the items he's selling.. VERY cleverly worded I feel - a potential interpretation being something along - and between the lines of : The item is a RARE collectors piece, IN IT'S ORIGINAL FORMAT here is an 'EXAMPLE' of the rarity WHICH IS A 'REPRO' !?! Doesn't actually state he is selling an ORIGINAL pressing of the item(s) !! Whilst, at the same time, avoiding describing it as a 'copy' of any sort !!!! Mmm.. I, for one, would most DEFO steer (round the other side of the globe if necessary..) to avoid this joker (imo of course..) Fingers

Yes !! I Couldn't believe it didn't fly off of here - but it's first outing in a sales box saw it quickly disappear at my asking price of £75 (based on condition - a minter I'd have priced just across the three-figure threshold). And.. you're right Adam - a stand-out tune of serious class, quality, Soul & with the perfect dancer's tempo !! Could easily be massive across the UK in the coming few months.. Regular outings for it are given at Coventry's Move On Soul Club's monthly 'Nites NB: Check out the DJ line-up for April's installment.. It's gonna be one night that the regular travelling Soulie fraternity will make certain as to their attendance - whilst also attractive enough to pull in a lot of new faces, too, from counties far & wide.
