Hello fellow soul searchers. First Soul night this year is our 2nd anniversary in the Belmot club..For this reason we have an all Aberdeen DJ line up for that night. Early doors fall to Steve "cobblers"Riddell as per usual then. "Spinnin" Steve Willox and Harry "Bleezin" Bowman grace the decks for a bit of nostalgia and some tempting toonz. Followed by Alan "soft lemons" Paterson.(personal joke) Then the DYNAMIC DUO..Fatman and Dobbin(me and Tubbs). The Dobbin name has nothing to do with Tubbs being hung like a horse.HONEST..more like a Shetland pony.Playing any old pish that takes our fancy which we are allowed as the RESIDENT DJ,s..Any complaints please submit them to me in writing and you will be told to F**K off accordingly.. The first 50 people in will recieve a special gift of a Anniversary beermat/CD ( both the same ) It keeps getting better so mark up those calendars. Below are the Aberdeen northern soul club dates for the year commencing 2002. We have include 2 Satudays this year to try and encourage the people who live south of Dundee that we are worth comming up for. Make a day of it.Why not try Shoplifting in Union Street Aberdeen then down to the BELMONT.We guarantee that travelling north of Montrose you will not develop nose bleeds as previously suggested. JOKES ASIDE Guests this year at various dates will include. Birminghams answer to George Clooney the one and only JohnWeston... The best in Scotland and our usual guest appearance form Keith Money,Kenny Burrell,Suzie Cameron,Hammy the Hamster,Others to be confirmed.Anyone else want to DJ in Aberdeen we are always willing to give you a try.Just send us a tape of the stuff you play and it will be considered by the Jury. Its up to you lot to spread the word..So please onpass this to all your soul connections on line. Id just like to finish off with saying thanks again to all of you who have supported us in the last 2 years in our new venue and those who followed us especially in old shitholes. you know who you are guys and gals.Hope to see you this year..Kepp it SOULFUL Regards Richie Conn Feb..Sat 16th April..Sat 13th June..Fri 21st Aug..Fri 2nd Oct..Fri 11th Dec..Fri 6th

Soul Source - Policy Yet again we publish some news that we think will be of interest to soul fans, in this case the sacking of a dj. Yet again we have hysteric reaction from a certain person and his followers claiming conspiracies, campaigns, false postings and so on All we do is try and let you know whats happening, and that is what we will continue to do, the attempts by others to influence this site with their threats will just give us more determination to let you know what is going on End of day we will continue posting all news. Well every time we publish true accounts of going ons concerning levine, its the same old game, hysteria and lies to undermine the fact that it is true. Lies this time were as follows Claims all postings were by myself and someone else - well the system records each IP of every post on this site. If need be we can prove that comments are genuine. Moderation - a certain Neil Page is claiming comments that all pro -levine statements were modedrated with a minus 1 rating.- Please note as said on intro ALL abusive posts, were given this rating, as they could not be deleted without the whole thread being removed. Instead they were moderated . Anyone can see and check this in 5 seconds, however Neil Page it seems is just another one to add to the list of those who just dont care about the truth. Site Operation - This site is run by one person, and thats me - mike h. Attempts to make out others are involved are false. Majority of stuff is knocked out by myself and hence if have a problem with any of it contact me, not try and make out it is a global conspiracy

Original post edited Will just say those 12 + adverts featured on Jazz FM cellar of soul were... ...sheer hell. First time quite funny listening to a certain persons claims, but that very quickly wore off as they continued repeating them through the show.

Well todays show was a good one. Richard Searlings show featured the crew from Londons biggest little soul club These Old Shoes. The radio stars were Jo Wallace, Paul Thomas Peter and Martin Thomason. And what a great show they gave us, a classy varied mix of some great soul tunes, covering all aspects and styles. With worthwhile background info and a fair few laughs. Of course Jo W was very retiring and in the background for the m... in your dreams! Reckon by the end of the show she had reorganised the whole studio, was telling Richard S what to do and how to do it at the same time phoning Kev Roberts up to go for pizza. Ok maybe not, but thewhole crew come over good and as said well enjoyable and worthy tune selections. Nice one Shoes people, well enjoyable show - be looking at uploading some clips soon

A brand new Northern event, in a brand new venue. Many people in the Yorkshire area will remember the old Brooklands motel just of the M1 at Barnsley. That has now been replaced by a superb multimillion pound hotel complex with its very own nightclub designed specifically for the over 30s. The Scarletts club hosts its first Northern night on February 23rd with resident DJs Snowy and Derek Pearson. For those that have never been to Barnsley before the Brooklands complex is situated less than 5 minutes from junction 37 of the M1 motorway, which makes it less than 30 minutes away from Leeds, Sheffield, Wakefield, Rotherham, Chesterfield and East Manchester. Tickets purchased in advance cost £4:00, or pay on the door £5:00 before 10pm, £7:00 thereafter. Doors open to the club at 9pm through till 2am. There are also special deals for admission plus bed and breakfast. More details can be obtained from the hotel on 01226 299571 or http://www.brooklandshotel.com
