Just so aware next week be bringing in a change to the way membership works on here Always have tried to keep soul source as open as possible and easy to use and join as possible Unfortunately due to the actions of a few and the time needed to deal with the effects there is a need to change things Next week be bringing in a new two group system of membership basic account normal account the basic account is for those who prefer a degree of anonymity and have no need for pms or need for a clear id the normal account will offer the same features of the current account and is aimed at the vast majority of members who have a clear id for current members with a clear id it should have no effect, will still have the same features and so on, while those who due to their use of site or email have a unclear id they will still have the same features less the use of pms and will no longer be able to post up accusations without proof new members will be able to sign up same as before and will be in the basic account any member can move from the basic account into the normal account, either by use of site such as posts, or providing a clear email or by confirming id in other ways the above is a basic outline and posting just to give notice more details will follow along with a rewritten guidelines and privacy policy and terms of use as said it should not make a major difference to site, and while it is something been trying to avoid due to the serious nature of both background and onsite events can no longer leave things as they are thanks to the vast majority of members who do try and follow the guidelines on here and have made the site what it is the end result should hopefully get things back on track, all members who need it will have a clear id and those who dont will have a choice mike comments and views as always welcome

exactly if look how this thread went imo a genuine question and request which should have led to a few interesting replies and recommendations got took down the road of dispute mainly due to one post, a post by some self proclaimed "modern soul expert" taking it on himself to have a go at members this is often the case on here, and to be blunt the people who do this at times do wind me up, as majority of time their posts show they havent a clue about the site, the members they are having a go at or the thread, never mind what a rolling eyes smily means

wouldnt bother shane just some old mecca head who one min brags about being around in 74 then next try slags off younger members for not being as hip as him

thats a bit strong post isn't it can't say it reflects the mood of the thread and if anything will just drag out similar posts perhaps instead of insulting people on here with worn out cliched arguments that smack of false one up manship you actually read the posts before kicking off

always use the argument that as at some northern events can hear anything with release dates from the 1950s right up to the modern day, could say its the "modern rooms" that maybe needs to open its ears more and throw away the calendar
