Doesn't seem a year since the last one at Lloyd Street and while venue wise the Aqua Bar one never really touched the spot like Lloyd Street, it did carry over that great feel and amibance that marks events "Little Stevie" is involved in and gave "Soul Or Nothing" its well deserved reputation. As thorough enjoyed every visit to this and previous Soul or Nothing venues hopefully Stevie in 2007 can keep the whole Soul or Nothing trip rolling on Soul Or Nothing... Manchester.... Saturday....2nd Dec... 8pm to 3am.. £5 on the door.. Aqua Bar...opp g-mex behind the hacienda,100 yards from Deansgate Station.100 yards from the Ritz.. Guest djs..     Reported va the forums, the sad news that one of the most respected current day soul artists has passed on Gerald Levert died of a heart attack at his home in Ohio on Nov 10th.     After the radio studio video clip (see earlier post) clocked a big handful of more clips from that era on youtube form mickeynold here's the words below from youtube that goes with the clip The video was made for lynn as a memento of her visit to the UK, unfortunatly the saticom colour video camera was slow at warming up, also contains a interview at same All-niter, that's Nottingham FC. (Hi to Wilko by the way) Intro by DJ Pep and interview by Bill Randal. Feat: Dave Rimmer & Chris Anderton. Who are the dancers, I think one was Big Scotty, the others?

    the below was submitted as a news item in the front page articles section by member jmyboy have moved it here as felt not really a news item as more of a questions for members I AM THINKING OF STARTING A NEW VENUE AROUND JAN 07 ONA MONTHLY BASIS.A MINI ALNIGHTER 8 TILL 4 AM. SATURDAYS . I HAVE THE VENUE SET UP IN NOTTS JUST OFF JCT 26. ITS GOT AMPLE PARKING AND HOLDS AROUND 350 PEOPLE. IT PUTS ON JAZZ NIGHTS AND IS VERY MUCH LIKE THE 100 CLUB AND THE MARS. I WANT TO KEEP THE ENTRANCE FEE DOWN TO A MINIMUM. I AM JUST AFTER SOME FEEDBACK FROM YOU THE PUNTERS, JUST EXACTLY WHAT YOU THINK.... a. IS THERE ENOUGH ROOM FOR ANOUTHER VENUE..... b. WHAT DO YOU FEEL WOULD BE THE BEST MUSIC POLICY TO SATISFY EVERYBODY........... c.     Big thanks to John Barker - Gary Belcher - Phil Turner Out of date solicitors letters in grubby hand written enveleopes containing threats and such to myself and soul source on the doormat do sort of get my day off to a kicking start Have been in contact with the firm and they are at a loss how such a letter dated 27 sep 2006 showed up in such a state and posted in Birmingham two days ago. Can only guess why someone felt fit to post it so long after the date it was written, however rest assured have took the matter seriously and have acted as per the terms of use of this site for when a complaint is first made and will deal with this whole matter in such a way as it deserves.
