Venue blurb: In 1971 Gil Scott-Heron laid out the blueprint for the whole rap genre with 'The Revolution Will Not Be Televised', and now, as vital as ever, he returns with his new album 'I'm New Here' (XL Recordings) and this rare London show. One of the most important figures in 20th-century music to have come out of America, his thoughtful, provocative and still rebellious voice is something to be heard. Support (for the 20 April concert only) comes from the 2009 Mercury Prize-winner Speech Debelle, whose album 'Speech Therapy' has been hailed as an outstanding debut. Up London way its yet another monthly 6ts 100 Club Allnighter, can read the dj line up below and as always there's a quote from Ady teasing all with details of this months something up his sleeve. Djs Butch, Mick Smith, Joel Maslin, Ady Croasdell and Special Guest Warren from Greenwich Boogaloo event "Messrs Rounce & Palao have just returned from the Southern States with an industrial strength stomper that will grace a soul club for the first time since it was cut in 1967! It's a pretty tremendous record actually. I'll stick it on early doors for the truly devoted early arrivals too. And if anyone likes sublime early 70s dancers a la Tyrone Davis we have an utter beauty from none other than Spencer Wiggins! looking around the event guide and at the many street views have seen that some members have got the venues spot on here's a daylight view of a well known and an interesting one /index.php?/calendar/2/event-15096 any members who have got the street view bang on and would like to give us all a look, just wack a link to the event guide entry up get your venues out!
