    whats the score with asking stuff like this one minute you say you know nothing about northern and have just discovered 45s such as tainted love next you are posting up questions like this, digs at the moderation and bragging about how mischevous you are sorry but this aint no playground if you are serious about getting into northern then suggest you step more lightly and drop these sort of posts if rather not then try somewhere else

    Soul events be it major or local seem nowadays to come and go all the time, here's a quick moment in time grab of one thats just come... a launch nite in Tomdorden We're a bar in Tomdorden, home town of one of the top Northern Soul DJs, Ginger Taylor. We're launching Ginger's first 'SOUL-A-GO-GO' night this Friday 27th April (including special guests). It's from 9pm and we're hoping it will be monthly from here on. It's free and in our cosy basement with the music going through the soundsystem of the whole venue.     Ian going by reply think you are on about the usual image search ? (apologies if have read it wrong) i was wondering more about the actual search via an image as in say you had a scan online you put the url in and then use the "search by image" which does show some close scans but not really great results

    not the bog standard search for image but on about the "Search by image" eg find similar images to a exisiting image used it a couple of times but not great results, anyone use it to any effect for scans, artists etc ?

    been saying this for a fair while now if you have got any event news or similar that is worthwhile etc then the best bet is to use the news/articles feature submission by using that the following things happen 1. the event news gets posted both frontpage news and in the aats forum 2. the site can allow event news to be featured on the aats forum without it being overrun with similar don't enjoy doing this but it has been proven time and time again that if we do allow event posts in aats forum unchecked it quickly gets swamped by other event posts so sorry but have no choice but to lock this as said more than welcome to post via the news/article submission process info how to submit below https://www.soul-sour...-articles-r2428

    Now fairly well established it seems, this Saturday as you may be aware sees the celebration of the annual Record Store Day. (in the usa its the seventh one and in the uk its now the fourth one) Set up all those years ago as per the below.. "This is the one day that all of the independently owned record stores come together with artists to celebrate the art of music. Special vinyl and CD releases and various promotional products are made exclusively for the day and hundreds of artists across the globe make special appearances and performances" Quite a lot going on on via the more mainstream side of record shops, the various Record Store Day websites linked below have details of all the occurances. Much going on via soul and such related outlets? Well if you do know or are involved in any related record store day activities then do feel more than welcome to let the rest of us members know by wacking up a quick word via the comments below. Or in fact if you are doing anything that could be said on a windy day to be jaw dropping then you could take advantage of the revamped news feature and send us the word via the contact us feature and if drops the jaw enough it may be featured as a news item.     ah yep, got you to do two letter searching you have to do it as part of a phrase eg "to the future" last nite nev posted reference this last night and when looking at it saw that the quotes wasn't working and managed to resolve that so posted up just to try and let all know that can now use "quotes" again as it is a fairly useful thing
