Guest,New 45 - Rare Pleasure - Superfine Feeling - Ramrock Records
Vinylvixen posted an article in News Archives,
Artist: Rare Pleasure
Title: Superfine Feeling 7” Edit Pt. 1/Pt. 2
Format: 7” Vinyl
Label: Ramrock Retro
Matrix No: RRRET003
Rare Pleasure are best remembered for their 1976 disco classic ‘Let Me Down Easy’ on Cheri Records 12”. However, a follow up remained elusive and their 1977 ‘Superfine Feeling’ only ever saw the light of day as a horribly rare Frankford/Wayne Mastering Labs acetate running at 10:45 and costing over £400 if you were ever able to track one down.
RRET003 - Rare Pleasure - Superfine Feeling Pts 1&2 by Rare Pleasure
In 2020, Dance Music don, Ashley Beedle was approached to edit the unreleased track which had a UK 12” vinyl release in 2021 on Spencer Broughton’s As and Bees label. Having heard the track in all its glory, Ramrock Boss, Jo Wallace immediately thought that a 7” edit would sound like a Blackpool Mecca classic that never existed! And so, the editing process began again and, this time, the North Street Collective of Ashley Beedle, Darren Morris and Jo Wallace came up with ‘Superfine Feeling’ 7” Edit and in the true tradition of soul tracks, named them Pt1 & Pt2. An exuberant, uplifting, Mecca Soul unreleased monster finally receiving the talcumed dancefloor love it deserves 44 years later!
Listen above and pm to order the limited vinyl.

There is little doubt that the most famous family name in Detroit, during the late 1950s,1960s and early 1970s, was Gordy. The family's prodigal son, Berry Jnr., and the rest of his extended clan, had combined to create a musical monolith that dominated local, regional, national and international affairs at the time, and continues to exert

Love Factory: The History of Holland Dozier Holland by Howard Priestley
It has long been acknowledged that Berry Gordy Jr and his Motown Empire put Detroit on the International musical map but it was the creative genius of Brian Holland, Lamont Dozier and Eddie Holland who would take the sound into uncharted territory. I

The much looked forward to release of this fine track by The Freedom Affair is here
Here's the details of One world Records latest 45 ....
The Freedom Affair - Outta My Mind (Vocal/Instrumental) - One World Records OSP 5007
Release Date : 16th July 2021
Nine-piece Kansas City soul collective The Freedom Affair have received rave reviews and instant critical acclaim with their well-crafted debut album Freedom Is Love.
Now one of the album's most popular tracks, 'Outta My Mind', has been selected to be the first single - a priority release on One World Records.
The soulful and infectious song features Seyko Groves on lead vocals and is co-written and produced by the group's founder Chris Hazelton who operates the Sunflower Soul record label based in Kansas City, Missouri.
The 7" single is scheduled for UK release on 16 July and veteran plugger Steve Ripley will handle the national radio promotion campaign.
'Outta My Mind' is expected to provide another hit single for One World Records who've had a string of UK soul hits by Michelle David & The True-Tones, Brenda Boykin, Sean Oliver and Soulutions - all of which were well supported by radio and club DJs.
