Gonna kick the Soulful House thread off with a couple of 1 hour downloads on me. Kinda works better that way.

1st one was put together by David Hulmes.


2nd one was me copying some classic stuff from vinyl last night & before anyone says anything i know i can't mix. Takes me all my time fading in & out biggrin.png



Both of the links are over 60mb so if space is at a premium you can just listen on the links without downloading.

must be the music - harley & muscle feat gerideau - white label

this version was only released on an italian white label that harley and muscle had pressed up. it was issued on slip'n'slide with different mixes.

I GIVE UP! IT SOUNDS LIKE ITS UNDERWATER AGAIN! i'll do it as an attachment.

Thanks for the posting - can't help feeling that in 20 years time there will be some kind of scene based on this music. If I had the money I'd buy up all these groovers now and cash in for my retirement.

Thanks for the posting - can't help feeling that in 20 years time there will be some kind of scene based on this music. If I had the money I'd buy up all these groovers now and cash in for my retirement.

Isn't it down to one persons opinion of what genre something falls into no one gets it right 100% of the time. What someone calls modern (30yrs old?) another calls crossover & another calls northern. Why don't we just enjoy it for being music & if we get it wrong once in a while who cares I know I don't.

If I've offended, upset or anoyed anyone even trodden on a toe accept my most humble apologise's unfortunatly I'm not perfect

Do you think he had Phyllis Hyman on in the background when he wrote this? Top tune nevertheless, reminds of the halcyon days of the Winsford all nighter where I first heard Messrs. Thorley, Page and Palmer playing this stuff 'on the scene' in the mid 90s.
