Motown Disco Classics Vol. 3 (STML 11227) Side One You Keep Me Hanging On - Diana Ross & The Supremes Baby I've Got It - Jimmy Ruffin Just A Little Misunderstanding - The Contours Danger Heartbreak Dead Ahead - The Marvelettes Tell Me It's Just A Rumour Baby - The Isley Brothers Starting The Hurt All Over Again - Brenda Holloway How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You) - Marvin Gaye Heatwave - Martha Reeves & The Vandellas Side Two Night Fo' Last (Instrumental) - Shorty Long Ain't Too Proud To Beg - The Temptations He Was Really Saying Somethin' - The Velvelettes Shoot Your Shot - JR. Walker & The Allstars 25 Miles - Edwin Starr Destination: Anywhere - The Marvelettes I Got A Feeling - Barbara Randolph Friendship Train - Gladys Knight & The Pips Theres no gaps between tracks so they just go straight into one another. Anyway this got me wondering about all those Motown Compilation albums that must've been released. We've probably all got some somewhere, so which ones do you like or which ones would you like?

Loved it then, cassette long gone, but I picked this up mint at a charity shop for 50p. Its still as good as it always was. Went round after a week to pick it up, no problems. Went down to the car, put it on the roof, set off, pulled up at the junction at the end of the road, it went flying off the roof and under another car. Thank god it isn't that rare. not that I've ever bothered looking for another

Guest Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 Check this one out: Motown 630 - Various Artists - Nothing But a Man - Soundtrack to an obscure film from 1964/5 it has THREE unknown Northern Soul dancers by the MIracles, Marvelettes and Martha & The Vandellas that were never ever issued in any other format. They all stormers.. just waiting for the right DJ. The LP is rare but well worth the hunt and hardly anyone knows about it. The Vandellas track is particually sensational..

The one with the blue cover, is it Volume 8. Anyway it has Its So Hard Being A Loser by the Contours on it. Saw it in Manchester a few weeks ago for £30 in poor condition. Love the Contours track. I have it on Gordy and English. What is it worth and does it get played? It was spun regularly at the Wheel.
