Simon M Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 (edited) Wow thats a high price for Melvin Moore Edited April 17, 2009 by Simon M
Guest Nick Harrison Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Wow thats a high price for Melvin Moore £921.00. .
Mark R Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 £921.00. . Last one on there fetched £961 I think, so somebody wants it!! I always find these things intriguing....the "whys?" I mean............not always easy to work it out is it? For me the key with this item is that it's quite simply one of the best modern soul records ever (IMHO).....lots about, but people don't want to part with it, so I figure I'm not the only one who thinks so. There are many rarer records that fetch a lot more, but they probably pale in comparison to MM......what would you rather pay your $$$'s for??......rarity alone or a bullet of a tune?? Supply and demand. Cheers, Mark R

Guest Nick Harrison Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 ......rarity alone or a bullet of a tune?? Supply and demand. Cheers, Mark R Mark - got to agree, but for those who have had copies over the last 20 plus years it's fulfilling to think, that on today's current market, the above price works out at approx £274.00 per minute approx for this recording by M Moore and W Johnson production. Well worth it - considering I paid less than this for my copy moon's ago.
Ficklefingers Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 The Supremes - Mother You, Smother You + 3 others - French Tamla Motown EP pic sleeve - £60 What a fantastic track - and what a BARGAIN at that price, methinks.. Only 45 format available for this (but not too certain if on an LP, too ??) I wouldn't have minded adding that to my pic sleeve items, but would find it TOO hard to keep it out of my play box !! Fingers..
Tabs Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Deffo one album release John. Supremes sing HDH. What a fantastic track - and what a BARGAIN at that price, methinks.. Raresoul45s Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Dont know what we're talking about this under JM auction thread but anyway, Mother you Smother you, great tune indeed had the Christine Schumacher with the Supremes version up for offers last week on the site on the very rare promo, a little rawer I'd say. If you aint heard that version have a listen I'll try and upload it. If not I'll put it back on the site for a couple of days and you can here it there. Cheers Darren www.raresoul45s.co.uk MP3 deleted. Can ask members to use refosoul for sound uploads & not post mp3's as stated in site rules.
