Ged Parker Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 You lot are always my first port of call when I need problem solving and once again I call upon your collective wisdom. I'm looking for info on a recording by the Derbys on La Cool - Early Grave / Going Back to Houston. Also by the Derbys on Show Me - I Saw Batman / ????????????? (Given the passage of time I think there may be some confussion and this could be credited to the Carpets as with Show Me 1218 Keep Pushing On. The Carpets and the Derbys were the same group) I'm in contact with one of the group members whose memory is a little sketchy but he mentioned these recordings but I didn't know they existed 'til now. I'd love to send him MP3's but any info you have would be great. Thanks in advance Ged

Thanks in advance Ged Ged, The 45 I know is: Tommy & The Derby's - Standin' In My Way c/w Goin' Back To Houston - Kool 1034 This info was lifted from the record not a listing, so it is definitive. Although "Goin' Back To Houston" could have been issued twice. John

Maybe I've read his email wrong though he did spell it Cool and he doesn't use capital letters. Mind you given the people he's worked with over the years we should forgive him for a little confussion. What about "Hole In The Wall" / "I Saw Batman" on Show Me have you ever come accross this one?
