Such a collectable label which also gave us Kell Osborne / Count Yates etc etc - fantastic side - decent flip too - lovely promo copy and in close-to-mint condition...... ) jack_hammer_cool_swimming_pool.mp3 BAD NEWS BAND (NMI) (VG+) *£50* "ROCKIN ON DOWN" (1981 - USA) ( Rare, rare indie-disco private press joint from 1981 which is currently massive on several scenes - price will rise - this one is a KILLER - check the soundclip........Rare as rocking horse...clubby Disco Funk tune which, rumour has it, will soon be featuring on a forthcoming BBE rare disco compilation by one of the "Kings Of Disco". Looks rare and Vessie is a well-known artists for her Northern Soul tracks - some good tracks on this a la midpacers and a coupla shufflers too - not bad at all...check the clip... ) vessie_simmons_baby_me.mp3 ROSCOE SHELTON (SS7) (Ex/Ex+) *£30* "SOUL IN HIS MUSIC, MUSIC IN HIS SOUL" (1960s - USA) ( Rare LP on Roscoe - my first-ever copy...nice shape except for a top seam split and a but of yellowing here and there - with an absolutely superb R&B cut here called 'My Best Friend' which I believe is LP-only? Shoot me down but that's what I believe - check the clip - very, very reminiscent of stuff like Gene McDaniels 'Tower Of Strength' - CHOON....vinyl is very clean... ) roscoe_shelton_my_best_friend.mp3 PORT AUTHORITY US NAVY BAND (The Navy) (Ex/Ex+) *£15* "PORT AUTHORITY US NAVY BAND" (1970s - USA) ( I may well have got the title / name details slightly wrong here as the label copy is a bit confusing but, basically, it's well funky stuff with 2 particularly strong cuts 'UFO' and 'Funkophobia'...slight sleeve wear but nothing bad at all...a bargain at £20...?
