Guest Beeks Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 I've been seen dj'ing with boots every there and then. But usually trainers only for me Yeah but are your trainers bought off a market or the official store?
Steve G Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 No. Why would any self respecting DJ need to play boots? If you canne' stand the heat, get out the kitchen.
chrissie Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 for djs only Well that's you and me out then QoFxx
mischief Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 I did once unknowingly.. few years ago I bought a copy of Hit & Run Rose Batiste for more than a boot should ever cost.. bought 4 records that day and I was djing that night so straight in my box without doing home work... I know the differnce now ... but not that day.. it was the most expensive one as well.. In Love £10 original Landslide - £10 original this diamond ring - £40 demo Hit and fu*king con ya.. to much £££'s so yes played once until i checked but more peed off as i paid to much for it.. oh well easy to get caught out if you don't know... if any one wants to buy it for more than its worth let me know ;o)
Dave Morris Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Sold all my boots on ebay so I could buy originals.Still got a couple kicking around if anyone wants them. Original vinyl only down here at Bournemouth Uni and anywhere else that'll have me.
Guest SteveSnow Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 'Boots Knowingly' sounds like a character Pam Grier would play in a blaxpoitation movie
Guest Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 (edited) for djs only i've heard of DJ's getting carvers done of their originals and playing them - defending what they do and saying it is different/acceptable because they have the original somewhere Edited April 15, 2009 by mikecook

Guest sandi Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 only leather knee high ones ooooooooooooohhh Kinky boot's eh! Now l know why your profile picture is a cat !!! You sex kitten you.
paultp Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 I used to play "reconsider" off one of those 70's white label things (the ones with the "test pressing" stamp and written dates etc on) at These Old Shoes now and again. Always went down well. Also played it when we did a party for the Motown people at Universal down the River Bar - most had never heard it. I'm sure there must be a studio acetate of it somewhere that never gets played out, just looked at and stroked. So shoot me
