Watch out for a Channel 4 documentry that has been waiting "In the can" for at least 3 years whilst this lot was sorted out. Both had a unique production technique during the early '60s which, apparently, other studios and producers tried to emulate with no success. Both Spector and Meek suffered some sort of psychological disorder. Spector blamed most of it on his persecution at school because he was a Jew. Sadly, both producers had an unheathy interest in firearms. In 1965, Phil Spector wanted to meet Joe Meek during a trip to the UK. Meek flatly refused, mainly due to paranoia about Spector trying to 'steal some of his recording techniques'.

If only his personal life was held in as high regard as his music. There's a fine line between genius and insanity. I think Spector has erased this line.
