Guest Polyvelts Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Thanks for posting this up, cant wait to hear it. I just got in from a long bike ride and was listening totally to ' Sitting in the Park' downloaded shows on my ipod !! They are incredible and I have discovered so much new music I never knew at all ! Thanks Bob ! Is there a way to pledge support for the station from the uk ? possibly online ? I know I for one would be poorer if this great show ended, even just for hearing Bob start EVERY anouncement with "OK.....

I will try to work in some more 'uh's and 'ummms' on top of the okays for you! I will ask if someone can take paypal somehow. At least you could get a cool shirt from a chicago radio station out of it. I will get back to you. I'm doing my annual 'best-of' show in a couple of weeks after the pledge drive is over. I will also try to start putting up older shows since I'm doing so many interviews and fewer music shows now. Thanks again.

Graham I played it off 45. A scan of my 45 is on dante's website. I generally only play 45s on my show (not because I believe original vinyl is the only way to listen to music but rather because I'm an obsessive loser). However, on this particular show I actually played a bunch of the revival stuff off cd. My friend's record label numero group recently put out an excellent comp of the label.
