not sure if this has been done before, but asking what was your favourite old record shop from the past and why,im not talking about u.s shops where you found your best haul im talking about that really special u.k shop that has a place in your heart, maybee it was those gorgeous imports sellotaped to the window that did it for you or maybee the shop stocked every jay boy release when you were 15 and that helped you get into the music or was it the atmosphere or the characters hangin' around... im gonna leave mine till later as im interested to see if anyone else mentions it but my prize for the best shop name/sign is peps downtown records, handpainted with the city skyline rather like the soultown or black magic labels, right in the middle of walsall too! mid/late 70s
