Guest Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 Hi, I recently heard some tunes by The Commands on youtube, and their sound has really caught my ear. I have heard 4 songs: Hey It's Love, No Time For You, Don't Be Afraid To Love Me, and I've Got Love For My Baby. From what I've seen, they only recorded 10 songs total, and I would love to hear the rest, ie: Stand In For Love, Around The Go-Go, Chain Gang, Must Be Alright, Too Late To Cry and A Way To Love Me. I have called about 10-11 record shops here in the US, but haven't found anything. I was wondering if anyone here had any of these on cd/mp3 for sale, or 45's. The only 45 I currently have is Hey It's Love. If anyone has anything, you can email me at egosheep@gmail.com. Thanks!

Thanks! they only cut 4 singles but one was released with 2 b-sides so they released 9 songs. they did not do a track called "stand in for love" -- are you thinking of the o'jays?

I have seen several discographies online list it as Back Beat 559 - The Commands - Stand In For Love. Is it just a mistake thats been spread around? Or was it the Commands covering the O'jays?
