2 notables for me:

Nancy Wilson - Ocean of Love - Uk Capitol demo What a fantastic laid back 70s tune Awsome! (Thanks to Dezzie Boy for that one)

Willie Gresham & Free food ticket - I cried Boo Hoo - Majesty - There must be some movement on this cos Steve Plum sold his 6 copies quick and in the same weekend the 13 copies available on Ebay was reduced to 3 - Pitch it down 4 and it sounds bloody fab and you can dance to it.

Other but well known recent buys are:

Bernie Milton & Soul Patrol - 60/40

Allan Harris & Perpetual motion - Get ready

Brym Mars - Keep on going

Buckinghams - You misunderstand me

Carver High - Not tonight

Two favs from recent buys.

J.J. Lewis - When (Will You Be Coming Home) - Malaco.

Bought after reading garethx recommendation.

"Don't see many mentions of J.J. Lewis "When" on Malaco from the early 70s: was unknown to me until recently and the most enjoyable record I bought in 2008: brilliant tricky midtempo southern soul with vocals of the highest quality and a knee-freezing ending as he sings to much intent against a mass of male backing vocalists".

Syl Johnson - I Resign / Send Me Some Lovin' - Twinight.

First heard Andy Dyson play this on Fraser Dunn's radio show in 2005 and it's taken me till now to obtain a copy.

Apollas - Mr Creator / WB

Thought this was a bit too fast for me, but some of the lyrics have stuck in my head.

Kindly Shepherds - Lend Me Your Hands / Checker

New one to me, quite like it.

Patience Valentine - If You Don't Come / SAR

Bobby Bland - Turn On Your Love Light / Duke

Tommy Ridgley - In The Same Old Way / Ric

Always a good topic to discuss, usually bring out plenty of insight and variety.

Bought a few bits n bobs over recent times, nothing major but nice tunes. A few to mention......

Bargains (both from the Bay of E):

Luther Ingram / Do you love somebody KOKO, LP (feat. Do you think there's a chance) - Paid the pricely sum of $9!

Natural Four / I thought you were mine ABC - Paid just over a ton.

Medium term want:

Debbie Taylor / Dont let it end GWP

Not sure on value of this, didnt care. Could potentially fall into teh bargain section at £40?? g.gif
