DON'T DO IT, I've had a few e-mails threating to suspend account if i don't log in with personal details & accusing me of shell bidding (None of which i've done). Have reported it to ebay, but all you get is the standard e-mail.

I use Safari as a browser and it's set to automatically fill in my user name and password on eBay so I just hit enter and I'm in - no matter how I end up on the site.

With this link I don't get my details filled in.

Dodgy as fcuk - don't do it and send the email to eBay.

I get this crap all the time, just send the email to: spoof@ebay.co.uk

They will investigate it and email you back in a couple of days.

And another thing. Check the line underneath "account protection Tips" on the dodgy link.

Then look at that URL address again :D

I've had loads of the 'if you don't sign in you'll be suspended' ones. But this one is much sneakier,it looks like a an email from another ebay member and asks 'if you're still interested in the item?' It was only because the print on the signing in page was different, that I didn't put my details in.

BEWARE :D

Had a mail supposedly from someone on ebay asking if I'm still interested in their item.

I click on the link below and it takes me to the sign in page, this doesn't look right.

I haven't put my details in.What do you think??

I get this crap all the time, simply do what i do and ignore it. Reporting to e-bay is a waste of time as well.

These people are getting cleverer. I could always tell these "dodgy" ones in the past because if you clicked on any of the links it went nowhere. On this one if you click on the "account protection tips" button it does take you to that

page. Scarey :D

I type "f**k off" as username and "you bunch on c*nts" as password then send it to them twenty times.

If everyone did this there server would be so full of crap that it wouldn't be worth there while going through all the replies.

Hi hun :D - we older hands know (pretty much) what we are doing with sites like paypal or ebay. Unfortunately folks like my Mum & Dad, or my over enthusiastic arse of a teenage ebay freak son, well they aren't so sussed are they ? I get so p***** off that ebay, or the ISP's arent properly on top of this kind of stuff. Same way as the bank are way behind with security measures to protect their customers. Oh fiddle, you've set me off now :P:D Latest ones I've been getting are purportedly from every bank/building society in the world....the give away is when you don't have an account with the Woolwich :D I don't fall for them but doddery old silver surfing gits like my Pops will one of these days :D

I received one of these early this week. I checked the member details and item code by going directly on to Ebay. Surprise, it didn't exist!

The Email has purported to come from andrewdonalds2004@aol.com - however when I checked the properties, I found that another path, tomorrowwillbe4@yahoo.com, was displayed. I sent a report to both abuse@aol.com, and abuse@yahoo.com, and would encourage anyone who receives a similar Email to do the same; report the sender (although there's a chance it may have been spoofed, but better to be safe than sorry), and then go to "File - Properties - Details", and report any other paths you find. When reporting abuse, copy and paste ALL details from the "details" page. This will help them identify the source of the mail.

Not really worth sending it to Ebay - they aren't interested.......

IT'S A SPOOF!

Just do a nslookup 81.196.121.139 and you'll get a server in Romania.

No further explanation needed.

I have the ebay toolbar......as soon as you go on a site that isnt genuine ebay or paypal you get a warning box.

It's saved me loads of hassle.

As for the spoof emails...I send them to Ebay everytime, alas they dont do f***k all about them

I've had a email accusing me of Shill or Shell bidding, apparently I was accused of bidding for a item on a member of my families auction so as to raise the bidding prize . KIN ARSEHOLES
