Are you sure there Paul? Myself and a few other that I have spoken to seem to think there is little difference, if any at all.

Any body else want to clarify?

My blue copy hisses at the begining, do they all do this or is it just my crappy copy?!

In my option, Hissing at the start usually indicates needle burn.

Which happens when DJ's wind back and forward the 45 to cue up the start. The damage is done if the tracking or weight on the Cartridge / Arm is wrong.

That is why a lot of DJ's don't cue up records to save damage on decks they do not know, and usually talk over the gap at the start, or you get silence. I stopped cueing up after I damaged a Bobby Hutton Come See About me.

So If your Blue issue hisses it was mine years ago.

Bobby Hebb Demo - You want to change me.... Heard that ALL these demo's hiss at start as well, no cue burn on mine, it's a minter!

I had a blue copy and its sounded poor, got a red and it sounds clear and clean if anything not very impressive.
