Also need a scan of the ones below

Any help very much appreciated

W Walton Jnr "24 Hours"

Traditions "My Life"

Turley Richards "Feel"

Danny Owens "Fool"

Larry Barnes "Rags"

Players IV "2 Of Us"

Rufus Lunley "In Love"

Steve think there are 2 maybe 3 known copies of William Powell. Mick H has one and there's one or is it 2 others (maybe Carl Fortnum?).

Has this helped LOL

link

And to think Soul Sam swapped his copy along with Damon Fox for ZZ & Co and Pete Smiths Alltime favourite Larry Houston :D

Still I guess back then nobody knew how many of each would turn up

Cheers

Didn't Manship auction a Charles Brandy not too long ago?

Could be wrong of course.

I don't think he has auctioned one yet, he has put one up in his "rarest of the rare" gallery though. I personally don't understand the musical appeal of this record.

Love that mighty backing track on William Powell though :D

...even if the vocals might not be all that... :D

Flip is better, although still quite boring IMO :D

Can't imagine anyone would care, if it wasn't such a major rarity and all.

Back to your original question; I think there is a scan of William Powell on one of

Goldmine's "Millionaires only" CD's. The first one I think.

Totally aggree Chris :D the play side is poor compared to most in that vein, and 90% of those cost but a fraction of the price. I think the flip is the best side, but again there are far better 'beat ballads' to be had :D

Aggree with you about W Powell too - great ballsy backing but that vocal throws me straight off. Again, if it was worth £30 no-one would bother. Same goes for Damon Fox.

Just PM'd you btw

Billy :D

Remember a guy called Geoff played a few times in Edinburgh in the late Eighties had a copy of William Powell. A crowd of us were back at my mates house after the 'niter and I seen it in the flesh..well vinyl anyway, or styrene, whatever I definately seen the record! That bloke was from south of the border and sold up around the time Tedsoul mentioned earlier on this thread, so presumably the same copy? Kenny Burrel definately has a copy now. Agree the vocal aint the strongest, but none the less, a feckin' belter of a Northern record, Powerhouse? that about sums it up!

Mick H played the B side at the Spirit of Albrighton about a month ago sounded a bit of a dirge to me
