Guest TONY ROUNCE Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Been hunting through the boxes of yet-to-be-sorted-and-filed 45s for some records to scan for Ace and Kent projects this morning. While doing so I pulled out several bunches of non-US or UK releases to continue with the Australian and SA threads that Mal and I started elsewhere. Here's a few of the Lebanese-pressed 45s that came to light on the trawl, staring with some colourful ones!: ...this is actually translucent green with blue flecks, but the scanner sees it differently! ...love the titular typo! ...and some not so colourful ones, starting with a different Otis Redding to the one that's posted up elsewhere: Howabout this one - no UK release AND in a Lebanese Tamla Motown sleeve?: Let's finish off with a few demos. Not aprticularly attractive, but I'm still glad to have 'em: Coing soon, some interesting Jamaican releases.... TONE

I got lots of other 45s from Walid at this time, including some reggae items and a nice Lebanese version of The Olympics' "Hully Gully" by a local female singer. He had Eddie Holman "I Surrender" on a Lebanese SLD (I Think) a few times, but I always got outbid on that one, unsurprisingly...

Yeah, about 3 years ago - I didn't think they were that expensive, about £20 or so - I know I got one
