Diggin' Dave Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Dunno if it's been done before, but I prefer an across the board selection for a radio show, so my vote goes to the Downtown Soulville show on WFMU. -Every week I get to know at least one tune I didn't know before and is great. -Full tracklists/HQ MP3 downloads always available -Decent radio voice -The best of all styles/values. Good if you're broke but still want to get to know nice 45s that you can afford. Only small downside is the opening tune that's played every week. Decent tuen, just heard it too much by now... So what's your online radio faves?
Guest biggray1 Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Me I vote for Boba's Sitting in the Park Radio Show, not only does it have Top sounds but great interviews with lots of Soul artist from the Golden 60s and 70s. Boba's show is FANTASTIC. Graham.

My vote goes to me n DJ on the Hitsville website..........laugh a minute, but maybe you had to be there, totally unproffessional, but a great experience all the same...........where are the shows from last year Dave & can we do it again this year please. I like Shaun Robbins on Solar on a Sunday Russ Hey Up Mucker, 'fraid I dropped a bollock with the software last year and only one show turned out, even that was poor quality. Have new software this year and of course the Saturday will be given over to a slurps and the odd Smashey and Nicey hour or so!

Ian Dewhirst Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 i've been listening to Ian Dewhirst's show on starpiont of late, as its a really good mix of soul, both old and modern well worth a listen alan Yep couldn't agree more Alan! Cheers mate! Over 4 years of LIVE shows every Sunday afternoon 2.00-4.00pm with a wide array of the best Soul from the 60's to the 00's, numerous guests, full playlists and fully downloadable every Monday. Guests coming up include Soul Sam and Simon M, so the Northern/Modern contingent is pretty well catered to as well. Many thanks to all @ Prestatyn who gave me the nod for the show as well! The figures are holding up beautifully. Myself and Steve Handbury spent several hours amassing material on Saturday afternoon for our respective future shows so plenty of goodies coming up from both of us in the next few weeks! Also recommend Shaun Robbins Sunday Soul Selection on Solar as well......... Ian D
Rob Wigley Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 (edited) The 2 I like are both Sundays and don't overlap anymore Radio Worm FM Steve Fletcher & his mate Steve do 2 hours live from radio Worm in Warrington (the old Wire FM show) Lots of oddball Motown as Steve F is a great Collector of USA CDs, he's got great taste. Plus basic oldies, but not Top500, more Wheel, sale ,mecca etc. loads of laughs and chat www.radioworm.co.uk and Dean Anderson on Boundary sound FM . Lots of "live" soul guest and interviews plus Deans excclellent taste in soul 6ts and a smattering of Wigan /Stafford type oldies. Sundays 8pm to 10pm www.boundarysound.co.uk Rob Edited March 18, 2009 by Karen and Rob Wigley
