£150 to £200..................

Dave f..........

More towards 250 UKP I believe, thats at least what I sold my copy for. Very nice tune but the recording quality is really very poor and always held me back from actually playing it out.

Maybe top end for a Mint one, this was sold on here 2 days ago

Little Melvin and the Boleros - Jealous Lover. VALARIE. label is Ex. some writing on reverse side. vinyl is Vg+ maybe better, visually marked and a couple of slight hearable dings, still glossy and overall a good playable copy. £150

i sold this 45, i dont like selling at a too high price wise as to what I actually paid for it. i find crossover tracks are never recorded as loud as 60s 45s usally, and never really get the kick that early R&B and Soul recording push out soundwise.

is there any sound quality difference between the purple label and blue label copies?

Sold @ £200.00 24/10/2004 set sale mint minus

Sold on our AUCTION @ £464.00 08/05/2008 mint minus

there's a note in the comments on the file for this 45, to phone a well known collector if one turns up willing to pay £450 for a mint copy.

Skiing accident by chance, Dan?

did it on that red that goes all the way down to morillon, which you could get to this year thanks to the beaucoup de neige situation. luckily i had some strong cocodamol and diclofenac with me for the ribs i broke two years ago so my brother in law popped it back in for me and i carried on for the following three days, thinking 'it's only pain'. but it is sore now biggrin.gif

john, i've PM-d you - happy also to receive offers via PM. have bcome across a few things to flog which i'll put up in sales over next few weeks.

2009-03-15 - VG+ - $107.50

2009-01-03 - VG+ - $159.90

2008-12-20 - M- - $162.50

2008-12-05 - VG/VG+ - $202.50

This is where i would of put it price wise too. I paid £150 off Butch at Cleethorpes last year for a minter out of his sales box.

This record has virtually exactly the same backing harmony at one point as Lee Williams 'Girl From A Country Town' on Rapda......which is certainly no bad thing!

I've just offered 60% of book @ £350 and quite rightly got turned down, so if anyone has copies for sale @ £210 i'll take up to five copies, they must be at least mint minus, PM me or just send them on..cheque by return.

That seems a bit short-sighted. If you have a customer at £450 then offering book price earns you £100 plus a happy customer?

Is there a price difference between blue and purple copies?

I think the purple is the first press, I'm still interested to know if they are from the same plates and if not if the sound quality is identical.
