Soul Brothers Six "Thank You Baby" gets me on the floor everytime. Just suits my way of dancin' I suppose.

What I can't move to nowadays are the really fast 'uns ---

Butlers - She tried To Kiss Me

Jewels - We Got Togetherness

Still ok with the Gems "I'll Be There" though

Agree with the Butlers track and She's Fire -COD's is in the same mould too! sweatingbullets.gif

Towanda Barnes /Ohio Players "You can't mean it" its all over the place :D

Agree with that Rob - great record though!! I vote for Terrible Tom - We Were Made For Each Other - too fast for me, even 35 years ago!!

'Higher and Higher'-Jackie Wilson; Yes, I agree, but that's possibly because the way in which the track is ochestrated is confusing, to the ear, and sense of rhythm.

Perhaps it not so much a case of the records being too fast, as, some of us, slowing up. What you really need is a well polished, Wooden Dance Floor, and Leather Soled Shoes. Talc or beer helps, but not when you fall in it!

Ted Wilson - i cant take no more sweatingbullets.gif

Lovettes - Little miss soul

Oh Di!Have only just seen this thread and your choice of Ted Wilson made me chuckle,as I ADORE IT.I know it's very much 100mph record, but for my style of dancing,it's rite up my street,as I'm sure you know I love me uptempo tracks. Can totally understand why it's 'hard' for other folk to keep up with, tho.

The one record I can't dance to,or particularly like(even tho my other half has it and likes it)is GIL SCOTT HERON-=LADY DAY and JOHN COLTRANE.

I end up looking like I'm dancing to 'PADDY McGINTY'S GOAT" with that track.Legs tied up in knot's

and NO CO-ORDINATION whatsoever.
