Guest mooma Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 cum a la bistae is a hard one to dance to I think its by Chubby Checker played in the early 70s sue
Maark Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 (edited) Soul Brothers Six "Thank You Baby" gets me on the floor everytime. Just suits my way of dancin' I suppose. What I can't move to nowadays are the really fast 'uns --- Butlers - She tried To Kiss Me Jewels - We Got Togetherness Still ok with the Gems "I'll Be There" though Agree with the Butlers track and She's Fire -COD's is in the same mould too! Professorturnups Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 Royal Esquires - Ain't Gonna Run. Tried (unsuccessfully) to dance to this at the 100 Club a few times! Mark C
Guest Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 Worst ever has to be Gene Chandler - There was a time

Mandy Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 For me it has to be Buddy Smith "When you Lose The One You Love" ... absolutely belting record and HAVE to dance to it .. but very difficult!!!
The Tempest Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 FOR RARITY !!!!!!!!!!! The Combinations - What Cha Gonna Do Need 5 pints of stella to limber up !
Eamesy Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 (edited) Towanda Barnes /Ohio Players "You can't mean it" its all over the place Agree with that Rob - great record though!! I vote for Terrible Tom - We Were Made For Each Other - too fast for me, even 35 years ago!! Al Edited March 23, 2009 by eamesy
vnicepce Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 What is/are the most difficult songs to dance to??? 'Higher and Higher'-Jackie Wilson; Yes, I agree, but that's possibly because the way in which the track is ochestrated is confusing, to the ear, and sense of rhythm. Perhaps it not so much a case of the records being too fast, as, some of us, slowing up. What you really need is a well polished, Wooden Dance Floor, and Leather Soled Shoes. Talc or beer helps, but not when you fall in it!
Aragorn Posted March 30, 2009 Posted March 30, 2009 Ted Wilson - i cant take no more Lovettes - Little miss soul Oh Di!Have only just seen this thread and your choice of Ted Wilson made me chuckle,as I ADORE IT.I know it's very much 100mph record, but for my style of dancing,it's rite up my street,as I'm sure you know I love me uptempo tracks. Can totally understand why it's 'hard' for other folk to keep up with, tho. The one record I can't dance to,or particularly like(even tho my other half has it and likes it)is GIL SCOTT HERON-=LADY DAY and JOHN COLTRANE. I end up looking like I'm dancing to 'PADDY McGINTY'S GOAT" with that track.Legs tied up in knot's and NO CO-ORDINATION whatsoever. Soo Holmes
