De-to Posted March 11, 2009 Author Posted March 11, 2009 £30-£35thanks for the reply ernie,i thought a uk copy would be worth more than a usa or foreign 45, even though my copy is an ep,
JOE TORQUAY Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 hi, i'd have thought it was £100 minimum, i've seen them for £150 and selling before now, unless it's gone out of fashion nowadays, mind you i think the issue on dra is the one to have, joe.
Denbo Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 hi, i'd have thought it was £100 minimum, i've seen them for £150 and selling before now, unless it's gone out of fashion nowadays, mind you i think the issue on dra is the one to have, joe. Why? Is it a different take?
Rbman Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 i didn't know there was a Uk release...sure it's not French? The french EP is a dub and sounds if it was done in a toilet in a railway station...
JOE TORQUAY Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 Why? Is it a different take? hi, same take, just the rarest lable as far as i know, joe.

lee Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 I have the UK Stateside copy too and it sounds far better recorded than the others having had em all over the years. if you can pick one up for 35 quid good luck to you, you will easily get a minimum of 70 quid for it even on ebay. I have a copy of Sinner not a saint by Denny Paul too which is good for a change.
Sebastian Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 (edited) I have the UK Stateside copy too and it sounds far better recorded than the others having had em all over the years. Better than the original US release on the D.R.A. label as well? Edited March 12, 2009 by Sebastian

JOE TORQUAY Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 STILL waiting for confirmation to the fact that 'Sinner' never came out on a UK label as a single, only the the Stateside Ep. Correct??? Anybody? hi, it also came out on an lp called go/go , it's half johnny rivers and half trini lopez, came out on the ember lable in the uk & on the custom lable in the states, shouldn't be too dear, joe.
pikeys dog Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 I've got a U.S. lp with the track on if anyone wants it for £15 inc. P&P
Guest Eridu Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 £30-£35 This is what I've seen them going for recently on the bay...
Rbman Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 Ah, touche, 'cos I didn't know about the UK single. Stateside? You sure??? Nah, never came out on UK label. Not as a single that is. You are right... the Stateside single I'd seen was Dutch . These things seem to sell from £40 to £80.
Denbo Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 hi, it also came out on an lp called go/go , it's half johnny rivers and half trini lopez, came out on the ember lable in the uk & on the custom lable in the states, shouldn't be too dear, joe. But it was NEVER released in the UK as a single, right? You're talking about a UK Ember Lp, correct? My contention is that the only way to get it on a 7" on a UK label is on the Stateside Ep, correct? Any takers? Any other UK label nerds out there able to confirm my claims?

Denbo Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 so what's your point? My point is this. I am trying to establish, as a keen collector of UK labeled releases, that the Trini Lopez can only be obtained on a UK labeled 7" record, on the Stateside Ep ONLY. I thought that was obvious? No?

Denbo Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 You may well be right but I know if you spoke to my face the way it comes across on your posts I would not be very happy.....IF YOU GET MY DRIFT....YES Rbman, If you are the guy in the middle of your avatar, we have met before, in the cellar during the chill out after one of Andy Brazil's Hard As Nails events some months ago, when we shared DJing time and some pretty good conversation I thought, and if you do remember me from that time, you'll know that I'm a nice enough guy who wouldn't wish to upset a fly. But if what I said, or the way I said it, upset you, and it appears that it did, then I sincerely apologise, for that was never my intention. It was all just tongue in cheek. Friends?
Gasher Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 https://www.popsike.com/php/quicksearch.php...amp;x=0&y=0 have a look here seems to have had mutiple releases on 45 but UK was EP only Dennis gasher
Denbo Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 So what does that make my maroon Pye Nixa issue then? You're having me on? If not, any chance of a scan?
Godzilla Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 You're having me on? If not, any chance of a scan? got·cha play_w2("G0205050") (gch)interj. Used to indicate understanding or to signal the fact of having caught or defeated another. Nah, just messing mate. Couldn't resist. Sorry
