John these are both issued both in the US and UK on the same labels, UK generally being the hardest, could account for a price difference ? Rob
Guest D'Arcy Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 (edited) As Rob says, there are both Uk & USA labels of both, the BB&P is on Canadian WAM too. I'd say a fair price for James Walsh would be between £75.00 to £100.00 and B,B,&P between £50.00 and £75.00 both depending on condition. Both are reasonably easy to find at these prices. ATB D'Arcy P.S. I'm sure that there was quite a lengthy thread on Basic Black and Pearl about a year ago. Edited March 11, 2009 by D'Arcy
Ernie Andrews Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 The Basic Black & pearl is not on Uk Polydor but on Uk Bus Stop The us Issue or Demo should be around the £25.00 - £30 mark The

No - You are wrong the Uk copy is on Bus Stop records Price for the US issue or demo should be around £25 -£35 The Canadian Wam will be a little more dearer at about £35-£40 and the Uk Bus Stiop will be around £75 - £100
paultp Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 The Basic Black & pearl is not on Uk Polydor but on Uk Bus Stop The us Issue or Demo should be around the £25.00 - £30 mark The I've sold two of these (demo) fairly recently for 40 if my memory serves, if I got another I'd list it at 50. Kept my WAM copy which I think is about 80 - 100.
Guest D'Arcy Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 One on popsike ealier this year ( USA Polydor demo) went for $97.00 for a mint minus. I make that £75.00 or there abouts. Also seen this listed for between £50.00 & £75.00 for the last year or so. I made no mention of which label the UK release was on, so I make me right Steve ATB D'Arcy

I prefer the canadian WAM myself. I'm prety sure that there is also a Canadian or US Bus Stop release too.
Dave Pinch Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 i dont think its anymore expensive on uk bus stop as it is on canadian wam. got a wam white demo. not sure if ive seen another. its certainly gone up in price in recent times as copies have dried up. making of love on wam is also excellent by them IMO. I found 2 Demos in the Salvation Army shop in Wolerhampton 50p each about 8yrs ago left 1 copy in John and Malcoms shop in Willinhall I think Niel Rushton bought it any way Malcom gave me £80 for it. Has there been many found since? I have both UK DEMO & issue as I collect UK product First I would defanently say the rareist is the issue which is rarely seen and by a long way price wise worth over a £100+ however if you are new to the game of collecting UK soul buy the DEMO as it looks better and is far cheaper DAVE KIL
