Hi There,

Seen these two tunes recently selling at both ends of the price spectrum, so what would you consider as a fair & reasonable price to pay for them?

James Walsh Gypsy Band- Cuz its you Girl - RCA

Basic Black & Pearl - There'll come a time there'll come a day - Polydor

Many thanks,

John.

John these are both issued both in the US and UK on the same labels, UK generally being the hardest, could account for a price difference ?

As Rob says, there are both Uk & USA labels of both, the BB&P is on Canadian WAM too.

I'd say a fair price for James Walsh would be between £75.00 to £100.00 and B,B,&P between £50.00 and £75.00 both depending on condition.

Both are reasonably easy to find at these prices.

P.S. I'm sure that there was quite a lengthy thread on Basic Black and Pearl about a year ago.

No - You are wrong the Uk copy is on Bus Stop records

Price for the US issue or demo should be around £25 -£35

The Canadian Wam will be a little more dearer at about £35-£40 and the Uk Bus Stiop will be around £75 - £100

The Basic Black & pearl is not on Uk Polydor but on Uk Bus Stop

The us Issue or Demo should be around the £25.00 - £30 mark

The

I've sold two of these (demo) fairly recently for 40 if my memory serves, if I got another I'd list it at 50. Kept my WAM copy which I think is about 80 - 100.

One on popsike ealier this year ( USA Polydor demo) went for $97.00 for a mint minus. I make that £75.00 or there abouts.

Also seen this listed for between £50.00 & £75.00 for the last year or so.

I made no mention of which label the UK release was on, so I make me right Steve thumbsup.gif

Point taken mate! - Ive sold 2 copies of this in last 12 months on US Polydor for £25 and £30

There was even one for sale on ebay with no bids for £18 which I didnt bother with as the £25 is about right

Still think Wam copy is £40

and the Bus Stop copy is by far the rarest and £75-£100

You're selling them too cheap Steve, It's a cracker of a record and cheap enough at £75.00. I prefer the canadian WAM myself.

I'm prety sure that there is also a Canadian or US Bus Stop release too.

 I found 2 Demos in the Salvation Army shop in Wolerhampton 50p each about 8yrs ago left 1 copy in John and Malcoms shop in Willinhall I think Niel Rushton bought it any way Malcom gave me £80 for it. Has there been many found since? I have both UK DEMO & issue as I collect UK product First I would defanently say the rareist is the issue which is rarely seen and by a long way price wise worth over a £100+ however if you are new to the game of collecting UK soul buy the DEMO as it looks better and is far cheaper ph34r.gif DAVE KIL
