45cellar Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 POWER OF BRASS AL CAIOLA / WARREN COVINGTON - CRAZY HORSE - UNITED ARTIST - I Was Checking Through Some Instrumentals & Found These. Not So Much A Question About The Track. Noticed The Labels, (Different Colour) , I Think Different Pressing Plants Are Involved. Just Wondered If Any Other Releases On The Label Have This Variation Of Colour & Why?. STEVE KARMEN For Instance. (West Coast / East Coast)?, Design Change? Anyone Know?.
ajb Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 the lettering differ also , my demo copy has the same lettering as the top copy. so possibly one was printed at an earlier stage of its release. alan

The Copy at the Top is a Monarch Delta # 78369 & Delta # 78369-X Placing It At The End Of 1969 >>> ANORAKS CORNER (Pressing Plant Details) <<< The Bottom Copy also STYRENE but Different Pressing Plant. Intrigued to know if this was released at the point of a Label Design Change or whether it is a United Artists Label Variation used for other releases and possibly regional. Many Thanks For Confirming Details. Looking At Anorak Records Site, If I Read The Details For The Bottom Scan Correctly The Backwards S Within A Circle Denotes "Shelley Products, Ltd", New York. Used From The End Of 1969. Now Thinking That This Is The Clue, Monarch West Coast, New York East Coast. Hence The Underlying Question, Of Other Soul Releases Like This, With The Different Coloured Label. Edited March 2, 2009 by 45cellar
