Guest hammy Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 Hi Dan Can remember keith money discussing this on Richard Searling Show. Kitch sold a copy to Ronnie Heeney, then Ronnie sold his on to Keith - still covered up at this time as Carl Hall. As for Scotland - there's another copy in Aberdeen. Hammy
Guest Dan Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 Honestly.... £50 - £100 tops. Just goes to show that a misprint in 1 of the guides can cause alot of mistakes. The other guides reflects it at the true value. It was around on lists a couple of years back at £40. Nice tune, but not that hard. link interesting andy thanks just been offered one at a fair bit more than that am buying it because it's been on my mate pete's wants list for a long time but looks like i won't be able to stick anything on top!

Nice tune, but not that hard. link Was selling for significantly more than this three years ago, and I didn't win it on an auction a while back at $500. Ray's other one on the label is dead nice and cheaper.
Guest Dan Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 must say manship's second book quotes it at 1000 which i do think is over the top (tim brown's i see has it at 100 quid) but i have seen it sell for 3-400 quid before now and i'm sure i remember dave flynn rating it as 'hard' and about a 300 quid record (and he does generally know what he's on about) so last night's $900+ (ie about 450 quid) while probably a bit OTT may not be that far out. i'll stick an extra 50 quid on it after all!
Gasher Posted May 20, 2005 Posted May 20, 2005 Ive been offered £800 in trades from a dealer. the gasher...
Gasher Posted May 20, 2005 Posted May 20, 2005 (edited) Honestly.... £50 - £100 tops. I take it thats only your opinion.. Myself ,Keith Money,Flynny,Rob Messer are all wrong then.. Just goes to show that a misprint in 1 of the guides can cause alot of mistakes. The other guides reflects it at the true value. It was around on lists a couple of years back at £40. Have you got a copy? Manships never had one ..Ive never seen Browie list it..only copy Ive seen listed was 5 years ago by Adey P..ok it was only £50 but never seen it since. 5 years ago I bought Barbara Lynn on Ichiban..Trying to love two for £4 at Cleethorpes .Since its been up at £150 and there are Feckin hundereds of them..so how you can say a record of this calibre and proven rarity is ony £40..beats me.. And who said there was a misprint in the guide..If Manship aint had it and he offers me £800 its RARE.. Not that hard my arse. .took me years to find my copy and if you can get it at £40..i'll take 100... IT IS HARD TO FIND.. the gasher : Edited May 21, 2005 by gash99
