Julianb Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 will pay £65 cash... So will I One went through ebay last week for £147. Good luck hunting.
Wally Francis Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 I think post's like the above are not needed, you've probably spoilt the guy's chance of picking one up cheap now.

Johnmcc Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 will pay £65 cash... I will pay £75 cash for a black issue, at least ex condition.

The trouble is, the majority of people on SS with vinyl to sell know the going rates for items as there are so many price guides & past history to refer to. I think the best price to get any 45 is on eBay if you are prepared to to be patient and play the waiting game. I think in this case you would be hard pushed to find this particular want for £65 from a private seller and if you did, I dont think the condition would be great. But good luck if one does turn up though. If you dont ask, you dont get. A

When I post wants I expect to pay near to or the going rate for quality items, similarly when I post sales I believe the prices are about 'right' but always prpared to haggle. Julian
Pauldonnelly Posted February 27, 2009 Author Posted February 27, 2009 But who decided the going rate Julian, Ebay, Manny, You? you should know better than most its a minefield. I'll up my offer for white promo in ok condition if anyone has one to £85.... Ps....I will always suggest a figure that I'm prepared to pay when asking if folk have one for sale, imo the wants section would be better off for it if other folk followed...I get really pissed off with blokes trying to sell me £50 records for £120 because two Japs got at it on Ebay the week before
Guest POTTERIESPECK Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 i,ve got a blue ashford pressing you can have for nowt Paul, i'll drop it in NOGGERS if you want. Just thought it might do till you drop on a original at the right price.
Dave Moore Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 I think it's a good idea to post what you're prepared to pay. We all whinge about prices but at the end of the day if you post what you'll pay it saves all the 'tyre kicking' and fookin' about that has crept into the sales on here over the past year or so. I thought the price was a little low too but hey....I'm not onterestec in selling one at that price but someone might be.
