Guest Trevski Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 (edited) Knowing many on here have eclectic tastes, has anyone else used 991 records? Based in Meopham, Kent. https://991.com/Features/Audiophile.aspx Been looking for mint Sinatra and Keely Smith Capitol original US/UK copys for a while, until I dropped on 991! Just got the first two I ordered from them today and I am impressed! Beautiful Vinyl! Superb packaging too. Outer poly sealed sleeve, company inner bag, and a poly liner. Their mint is mint too, lovely condition sleeves, pristine vinyl, and good prices! recommended! (They don't stock anything less than EX, at least!) (This one above is actually French Capitol, manufactured by Path, lovely thick vinyl!) (U.S. 'Rainbow Rim' Capitol, perfecto!) PS Following the ipod thread, those with a mixed taste check out Keely Smith's Capitol work. Billy May/Nelson Riddle orchs, same as Frank, she really does sound like a female Sinatra, and what a voice! Edited February 26, 2009 by Trevski
Suzannek Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Yes Keely does have a good voice. I love her version of "Crazy" with the gorgeous "Its Breaking My Heart" on the other side from 1965. Suz x

Guest Trevski Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Great those Trev Suz x Obviously a Lady of good taste! Last FM is very good, click on the blue 'tracks' by her name, it will show you hundreds of Keely tracks, and, if you're crafty, you can download 'em for free
Suzannek Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Cheers Trev will have a look and listen to Keely tracks on LastFM. Suz x
