Guest smigger Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Thanks for the reply, Russ. The thing is that I picked the tune up for 10 quid and it all seems a bit too good to be true.

Same as with >>> The Sons Of Moses would expect a STAMPED MATRIX <<< Quite Wide Spacing Between Stamped Numbers 4 5 - 1 1 9 8 1 1 Find Same Sort Of Matrix On U.S.A. DECCA Record or Brunswick.

Garethx Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 This was booted, but not on Coral. Think the boot is on a blue label called Sagittarius. What a stunning series of records Patti Austin released on Coral. Almost every side is at least good and the best tracks absolutely brilliant: all essential purchases for anyone with an interest in 60s soul I reckon. 1

Or were both tracks booted?
Garethx Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Wasn't that "Take Away The Pain Stain"? Or were both tracks booted? Hi Dave "I've Given All My Love" is on the flip of the Sagittarius boot of "Pain Stain" rather than the real flips of either.

But you never answered and I thought you no longer love me and have cried myself to sleep every night since then. I'll be in touch shortly.

The Coral boot looks pretty lame and you'd have to be pretty unlucky to end up with one sold as an original.
Guest Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 (edited) the boot/reissue Coral label of "I've given you...." has got "This thing called love" on the flip matrix has scratched in PA001A & PA001B hope that helps Edited February 26, 2009 by mikecook

Things Turn Up All The Time And Fortunately This Coral Label Does Look Totally Wrong And Nothing Like The Original. Sharing Info Like This Helps Us All As Collectors. But I've had it in hand and listened to it and the sound quality is spot on.

soul45s Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 Theres a few bootlegs of this 45 on ebay.boot.uk, some are described (as usual) as reissues, what a f-ing joke these people are!
Paul Capon Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 PS there are two boots on the light blue Sagittarius - both under number SG15 Take away the pain stain / Take your time & Take away the pain stain / I've given you all my love (which is mid-titled and is the track 'I've given all my love to you').
Guest BILL THE BLOCK Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 Hi I have this record record and can confirm it is an original ,except mine thas factory sample writtem on the label in biro.I think her best work was done in the sixties and that French cd confirms this
Dave Pinch Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 Orig should be machine stamped like all decca distributed labels
Paul Capon Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 Yep - machine stamped with relatively wide spacing
