Sunnysoul Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 I remember reading old copies of Blues & Soul and Black Music from the 70's and they always referred to this group as a "bogus" Dramatics , never really elaborated on how or why. Can anyone clarify whether this group had any (legitimate) connection to the real Dramatics ?
Paul McKay Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 Seem to recall one of the group split and recorded this. Then had to release next 45 as Dramatics Band: DRAMATICS BAND MAINSTREAM 5576 SOMEDAY, SOMEWHERE / SHO NUFF GOOD FEELING
Guest Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 Keeping with the Dramatics feel, what about Your Love Was Strange...brilliant sound, and also my fav.."Watcha See etc"..another tremendous mover. regarding the "Watcha" track, wasn't it Tony Hestor who had to plead with the group to record it, after he sang the song to them whilst playing a take on the piano, apparently they were not convinced, at least they saw sense.
