Guest jmperlmu Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Has anyone ever seen Flight "Playing Your Games" on Rocmar as opposed to SGA? I've picked up a copy on the latter imprint (see attachment below) and can't find any documentation. Thanks.
Sebastian Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 (edited) I've never seen that one before. Seems like the SGA issue is the second release as it credits (P) 1981 Rocmar Records, and has got different distribution info. Edited February 23, 2009 by Sebastian

Dave Fleming Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I've never seen that one before. Seems like the SGA issue is the second release as it credits (P) 1981 Rocmar Records, and has got different distribution info. Also it`s tucked away on the B side,so not the A side release as on the "SGA" copys, whats the A side on the "Rocmar" copy. Dave f........................

Roburt Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 (edited) Both copies of this 45 are detailed on the Georgiasoul web site ........... ... https://www.georgiasoul.com/gasoul/n-s.html Major input on this track from Jimmy Lord Brown and I guess other members of the group Brick. Ncfc Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Has to be one of the worst records played on the modern scene.
boba Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 is there a site documenting the connection to Brick or is it just something people know but have not publicly documented? additionally, any connection to flight on fly 4?

Chalky Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 (edited) It says on the label co-produced by Jimmy Lord Brown/Brick, I guess that is the connection. Edited February 7, 2014 by chalky
boba Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 It says on the label co-produced by Jimmy Lord Brown/Brick, I guess that is the connection. if it's produced by brick, that makes it much less likely that the band is brick
Chalky Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 (edited) if it's produced by brick, that makes it much less likely that the band is brick I would agree, It is the only connection I can see and one of the writing credits having the same surname of Jimmy Lord Brown. I've never seen anything to suggest Flight were Brick or anything else. Edited February 8, 2014 by chalky
Roburt Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 (edited) When I stated there was input from Brick on these Flight tracks, I wasn't trying to say that Flight were Brick, just that the guys from Brick were involved with the recordings. As Chalky pointed out , there's a guy with the surname of Brown who helped write their song. I always assumed this guy was related to Jimmy Lord Brown and that he (& the other co-writers of the song) were the members of the group. Edited February 8, 2014 by Roburt
