Dont know if this is the right section so apologies if im in the wrong section but can anybody answer this query.......?

When an item has been placed on ebay,can it A] be removed from ebay before the auction reaches its climax, OR, B] Is it possible to change the start or reserve price once the item has been listed......?

Yeah it is possible Jonesy , auctions are often closed early

you can cancel the bid though. I don't know if you can then change the price but you can cancel the bid and end the auction early.

Correct. However, I have a reduced a price BEFORE any bids to attract more interest.
