Simsy Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 I like to listen to soul around the house. Vinyl & multi cd in the living room - Ray Charles (Currently) in the kitchen - Wigan Memories - in the bedroom*. Personal compilation cd's in the car and in the bathroom. It's the car and the bathroom where most of the singing along takes place and the one's I enjoy the most are the one's where I can get near the right vocal pitch and sound something like the tune that's playing (well, in my mind probably). Tunes I enjoy a good sing along to include Arthur Alexander - You better move on. Mark Loyd - When I'm gonna find her. Freddie Gorman - The day will come. Lenny O Henry - Mr Moonlight and B J Thomas - Baby cried, to name but a few. So what tunes make you sound good? Doesn't have to be soul necessarily but everyone has fave sing alongs right? *Wigan Memories - in the bedroom. Just like to ad a "yeah yeah" before this gets quoted out of context further down the line. If I get any replies on this thread that is.

Guest Trifle Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 In the car mostly Jackie Wilson (except when he hits the high notes), particularly To Be Loved and Doggin Around. Etta James - Somethin's got a hold on me (to this I also put a white sheet around me, and sway from side to side, clappin my hands and waving them in the air Kenny Everett stylee - to really feel the part). Arthur Alexander - Good choice!! Aint heard much of his stuff for years. Chuck Jackson - loadsa stuff. Ray C and ? - singing erm.... It's Cold Outside. Hey Ian! I could do the ? and you could do the Ray bit .... PROMOTERS!!! get rid of those silly modern rooms and replace them with soul karaoke rooms .... the way forward .... you know it makes sense...
